The Xiaomi Mi Note smartphone is the company's epoch-making device, at least in the sense that it is the first mobile with which they managed to leave all competitors behind, at least when it comes to camera capabilities. 108 Megapixel main camera, brutal video capabilities, fast hardware, very nice, rounded AMOLED display, 20 V fast charging, sensor armada. A new king was born for HUF 135?

I am writing an opinion

They tried to improve the appearance by installing the beautiful AMOLED display, which "flows" on the edges, very similar to the Samsung S9+. This enhances the overall effect, but does not make it special. The greenish-blue color does, however, as the light refracts on it, it looks a little different from every angle, the back cover reminded me of the diversity of marine life. The cameras are placed one below the other - and not in a form reminiscent of lame gas stove plates - in my opinion, this solution looks better than in the case of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro. A fingerprint reader was placed in the display, since it would have been too much to place it next to the 5 cameras and the two flashes. Even the factory-supplied silicones cannot completely level the huge protrusion, but it does not wobble dangerously.

What I really like about Xiaomi's devices is the confusion of abundance. They don't skimp on the sensors, the infrared and the jack plug, which seem almost unnecessary, have been replaced in addition to the Type-C port. The speaker is mono, but it sounds relatively nice, although I didn't lose my mind over it, as the press material promised. In addition to the usual jokes, the most interesting item in the box is the charger, which can charge the battery with 1,35 V at 20 A, so a full charge only takes 65 minutes. Popping out the SIM tray, I was able to "finally" discover a shortcoming, there is no micro SD card expansion, here you have to buy one equipped with a larger back-up storage, if you want to store a significant amount of 108 Megapixel images.

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 – They scaled to 19 and had a camera on it

In order to fully understand the concept of the Xiaomi Mi Note 10, you must be a lover of photography. Because if I were to remove the 5 imagers from the formula, I would get a completely "average" phone with a great AMOLED display. Its performance is a Note 8 Pro he competes with his brother, which I think is intentional, the goal here was not to show off the e-muscles. That is why a Snapdragon 855+ was not included as the central core, but "only" a 730G, which for a sane person is just as sufficient for everyday tasks as the more powerful variant.

In practice, this means that although a smaller Antutu score - approx. 250 - you will see it in the test software, it does not come with any other disadvantages. It runs games beautifully at maximum resolution, which is thanks to the Adreno 000. In the T-REX test, it brought 618 FPS, do you have any questions? In contrast, the hard drive is slower - but not slow - than I expected, but this is not noticeable in the speed, the system is smooth, I had no problems even with the booms that eat a lot of memory. That's why I say that the 83 GB memory of the 6/64 versions is a blessing, since an Asphalt 6: Legends easily took up 9-1,5 GB, and that's just one application. It comes with MIUI 2, but during the test it found 11-2 more updates, needless to say, Xiaomi's own "iOS" is stable, does not hang or "bug".

How much exactly does a product cost?

For the sake of simplicity, we always convert the USD prices into forints in our articles, usually according to the calculator on the given page. However, the reality is that your bank exchanges the currency HUF 4-5 worse than the interbank exchange rate, which means that the product always costs a little more than the stated price.

You can help by ordering these completely free bank cards, a Revolut, Monese and Curve also offer this – for the latter, you get 5 GBP for free, in the app D4WGX4ZE  use a coupon code - or the menu bar at the top #fintech click on the label to read our posts on the topic.

The display definitely deserves attention, as I think that it is the third pillar of a good phone, along with the camera and operating time. The 6,47-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display is nice, but also big. A lot of people still cry crocodile tears for smaller devices, well this isn't it. However, the picture is very nice, the 600 nit brightness is almost always enough, the colors are good, and I could write that the viewing angle is also extreme due to the edge of the display pulled to the side, but it actually gets a strange, bluish tint here, which I didn't really like .

Then I looked at the Samsung S9+ and it's the same, so we can say it's the base. However, they missed one trick: Samsung and Mi Mix 3 also knew the slightly bazaar, but customer-attracting colored notification, in a circle on the panel edges, unfortunately the Mi Note 10 did not receive this function. Instead, there is the lightning-fast fingerprint reader built into the display, which animates nicely when in use.

Both charging and operating time turned out to be quite rough. For today redmi 8 and the Redmi Note 8 I was also stuck on how economical the new Snapdragon chipsets are. I measured operating times of 3-4 days with the two smaller models, and that's fine here too, except when you play games on it, which I couldn't really stop. Its screen time is rough, 1 hour of YouTube reduced the charge by 3%, so if you don't mind having to hold it, it will become a true cinema champion.

You can charge it to 30-55% in 60 minutes with the factory power supply, finally I don't have to recommend a more normal unit instead. At this level, the fact that you can find almost every sensor in the repertoire can be considered basic, only wireless charging is left out. Yes, there is also NFC, electronic payment is possible.

And then, drum roll...I turn to the camera arsenal, which is what this device is all about. As an introduction, however, I would like to outline what the breakthrough is in what the Mi Note 10 can do. If someone wants to take pictures at a slightly higher level than pressing the shutter button, then they have needed a normal camera. He had to set countless values, from ISO to aperture value to shutter speed, not to mention that he even had to adapt to the given lighting conditions. It wasn't a problem either, if the camera's sensor size was right, although since MILC machines appeared, this "pressure" has eased somewhat. Plus, there are the lenses, which also made an imaging device very widely variable, depending on whether high-brightness, zoom, macro, tele or what type of lens was needed.

The common characteristic of these is that they are big, expensive and heavy, you have to carry a medium-sized bag of stuff with you, which is not exactly pleasant in, say, Rome, at 35 degrees, for 8-10 hours a day. Your phone is hidden in your pocket, and since the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 basically solved the zooming problem - using a slight exaggeration - it doesn't matter to the uninformed tourists from the Far East, who only click the Parliament lavishly, how they take the photos . But it's not about what to carry, and the Mi Note 10 is the winner here.

Let's see what the available lens army consists of, following the logic from top to bottom:

  • 5MP telephoto lens with 10x hybrid optical and 50x digital zoom (actually 5x optical)
  • 12 MP portrait optics with 2x optical zoom
  • 108 Megapixel main lens for extra high-resolution images
  • 20 Megapixel ultra-wide lens
  • 2 MP macro lens with which you can get brutally close - 1 cm - to objects

There is no need to be afraid of the above, the camera application is well done and relatively easy to use. For those who want to jump right in, there is the Pro mode, where you can freely switch between lenses, while the others have a bunch of predefined modes. I recommend using the latter, then you don't have to keep scrolling, which, for example, was not always detected by the camera in the cold. The rough part of all this is that you can switch between, for example, the aperture between 1,2 and 16 - the former is the super-washed bokeh, the latter is the "all sharp" mode - and the optical zoom not only up - 2x, 5x - but also down, for example 0,6, You can also set it to XNUMXx. No more ridiculous dancing back and forth in front of the target.

The pictures are of course very beautiful, almost everything is in place, I would have improved the treatment of the light coming from the eye alone, and there could be more light measurement methods. Apart from that, I can't get involved, although according to my colleague Molcsa there is not that big a difference between Mi 9 and Note 10, he said this until he found the super close mode. After that, he spent an hour photographing the nostrils of the plastic giraffe in the office from half a centimeter "I can't believe this!" with exclamations. The pictures speak for themselves, I selected some for the gallery, all of them On this link I will reach you. I would also like to highlight the night mode with an extra long shutter speed, where you can take both very bad and great pictures. Make sure to keep the device stable, otherwise the end result will be out of focus. Fortunately, all kinds of "tools" help to make the best possible pictures, it is highly recommended to turn on the grid and the leveling function.

The videos are finally mostly as they should have been. There are no micro-zoom jerks or wobbles, the sound is quite good, the colors and material are included in the recordings. On the plus side, the excellent stabilization is almost gimbal-level in the case of 4K 30 FPS, even though I have already tested a couple within the ranks of RendeljKínait. In theory, there is also a software aid called dual "superstabilization", but it "crops" into the image, so it only works at 1080 30 FPS resolution, the colors change, so I can't recommend it so much - especially not in an environment where there is little light - , like plain single EIS. What is strange, however, is that the excellent motion compensation in the case of 1080p 60 FPS seems to have disappeared, the high FPS number may be the reason. There is tracking of moving objects and similar trends like VLOG, if you need something like that, the list is really full.

Summary

The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 has put the crown on its own head, at least when it comes to photography capabilities, as evidenced by the DXO Mark score too. You can't really connect anywhere else, the hardware is great - although not flagship level - everything is nice and fast, the only thing missing on the sensor front is wireless charging, along with infrared, dual WiFi, hyper-fast charging and the like. Cutting out the SD card expandability is a bit of a cheap move, but those who can spend HUF 135-150 will not save on the backend storage.

I can only talk about the photo-taking capabilities in superlatives, it produces great materials, the five-fold optical zoom is very good, you can take beautiful pictures with it even at night, and the software interface is also pleasant. It stabilizes 4K 30 FPS videos perfectly, but for some reason I didn't have the same experience with 1080p 60 FPS. This is a phone that is essentially designed for image and video creation, for whom this is important, look no further, for HUF 135 at GBXMNT10BF great buy with coupon code. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 8 Pro can provide similar performance for those who do not find pleasure in clicking on the go. Whichever one you buy, you can't touch it, especially if you order the mobile phones with EU Priority Line VAT and duty-free delivery.
