The release of the Poco X3 NFC was preceded by great secrecy. This is an interesting thing, since it is not a hyper-super high-end phone, but a very well-priced mid-range mobile phone. But you can conquer the market with just those, especially if it is based on the completely new Snapdragon 732G, which is accompanied by at least 6 GB of RAM. NFC was highlighted on the sensor front, which means that Xiaomi also prioritized electronic payment options. Of course, the price brings everything in this category, a sales start in the official Aliexpress Xiaomi store, where from EU warehouse for version 6/64 USD 219, that is They ask HUF 66 as part of the early bird promotion, which is one of the strongest arguments for the purchase.

I am writing an opinion

The same can be said for the Poco X3 NFC, although this back cover, which is flat on the edges and imitates a mesh on the inside, is a little simpler, but it looks very good and does not collect fingerprints nearly as much as the glass variants. The blue color really hits in real life, it looks much better than in the factory pictures. I dare to risk that I have never seen such a beautiful device in this category, even though the ones made of glass tend to look the best. The quality is of course first class, as befits a Xiaomi phone. The housing is quite large, as the 6,67-inch display has to fit somewhere, and it is also heavy, the kitchen scale showed 242 grams, although according to the factory it is only 215.

The fingerprint reader is placed under the volume buttons, on the right edge, the operation of which differs from the back panel only in that the finger has to be placed on it from the side. I think it's a very convenient design, and I know that many people like to "save money" with the version built into the display, but the traditional one unlocks much faster. Why didn't he come back? Maybe they didn't want to spoil the Oblivion movie guard droid look. However, out of the 5 "lenses", only 4 are the camera and one is the LED flash, but that's how the shape gives it, so I don't mind. And in the front, a small slice was bitten into the display with a "punch machine" - this is the DotDisplay - and the selfie camera was placed here, which is almost invisible.

One of the very lovable features of Xiaomi phones is the very wide range of sensors.

Especially since in the segment where the Poco X3 NFC "enters the field", they don't really dare to miss anything. The SIM tray contains two slots, but you can even put a micro SD card in one of them. It also has NFC, a gyroscope, a notification LED, a compass and a pedometer. The WiFi is dual ac standard, the infrared port, stereo speaker and the Type-C port responsible for charging are on the bottom. Of course there's quite a bull in the box, It also has a charger capable of 33 W fast charging. The "pre-installed" screen protector and the silicone case ensure that it is not damaged, but the latter spoils the great look.

Poco X3 NFC – This hardware packs a punch

It's strange how much the Snapdragon 732 was pushed in the advertisements, because if you look at it, it's not even close to a top SoC. But if I say that the camera champion My Notes 10 there was "only" a 730G in the series, and the 732G is a "tuning" 730G, which beats its predecessor by nearly 50 Antutu points, then geeks' palms will start to sweat. Samsung Galaxy A000, Realme X80 or Oppo Reno 2? These are all members of the 2 family, and they are also beaten by the Poco X730 NFC. If we also add that on the GPU chip front, the central core has been strengthened by roughly 3%, and playing with the 15G wasn't bad, then you get a very nice little device.

For some reason, the manufacturer treated the size of the memory as a big secret, so I was a little worried that there would only be a 4 GB version, but luckily they stayed with the minimum 6 Gigabytes of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage, which is what people 95% of them have enough. I ran the benchmarks, let's see what the third "Pocok" can do. 282 points in Antutu achieved in the GFX Bench T-Rex test 91 FPSt, and the write-read speed in Androbench is 495/256 MB. The latter is perhaps a bit of a disappointment, as it only supports the UFS 2.1 standard, but the speed of the system is not felt at all, everything starts and installs lightning fast.

When it comes to games, the Poco X3 NFC handles all the big names very well, the sound is quite good thanks to the stereo speakers. The vibration motor is especially strong, which provides excellent feedback on collisions under car booms, for example, but also on practically anything else that the developers have programmed. It has Game Turbo 3.0, which is the About Black Sharks can be familiar and arranges the games on a common interface. In addition, it also received Liquid Cool liquid cooling technology, which makes it cooler than average phones.

How much exactly does a product cost?

For the sake of simplicity, we always convert the USD prices into forints in our articles, usually according to the calculator on the given page. However, the reality is that your bank exchanges the currency HUF 4-5 worse than the interbank exchange rate, which means that the product always costs a little more than the stated price.

You can help by ordering these completely free bank cards, a Revolut, Monese and Curve also offer this – for the latter, you get 5 GBP for free, in the app D4WGX4ZE use a coupon code - or click on the #fintech tag in the menu bar above to read our posts on the topic.

The technology of the 6,67-inch display with a resolution of 1080*2400 pixels was a big mystery. A device with beautiful colors, HDR 10+ support and almost perfect blacks, with excellent viewing angles, but NEM AMOLED, but IPS panel you will become the owner by purchasing the phone. Visible even in sunlight, the panel with 120 Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz sampling frequency shows all content very continuously and is very pleasant to use. In addition, it changes its frequency dynamically, reducing it to 50 Hz for still images, thus saving battery time. The good news for those whose display is scratched is that the glass has been treated with Gorilla Glass 5, which is more resistant to external influences than usual.

The operating system does not contain anything surprising, which I tend to evaluate positively.

It is interesting that it does not run JOYUI, which is based on Android 10, but a slightly "polished" MIUI 12.0.1, which already has an app drawer - the bottom menu that contains the applications - so that the system does not litter the home screen with installed apps . Those who are bothered by this can continue to expose applications as usual. Of course, the interface is very stable, and the updates came immediately after switching on, which Xiaomi models are traditionally strong in.

The operating time is a bit tricky, since the peculiarity of powerful phones is that users run hardware-intensive applications on them. Mobile manufacturers always compensate for this with some kind of bull charging solution – here the same 2 W as the Poco F33 Pro is available – so the operating time actually becomes secondary.

The battery with a capacity of 5160 mAh can be recharged in 65 minutes, thanks to QC support.

If I had to guess, the Poco X2,5 NFC would last 3-3 days in ascetic mode, but relatively few Indians will buy such a device.

The pictures above can be viewed here full size.

On the camera front, the developers of the Poco X3 NFC have come up with a pretty good lineup:

  • 64 MP Sony IMX 682 sensor
  • 13 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor
  • 2 MP macro lens
  • 2 MP depth of field sensor (Portrait mode)
  • 20 MP selfie

When I looked at the pictures, I thought that this phone is a bit more expensive than HUF 70. So far, everything has worked so well that I really had to save money in the camera segment. I'm not saying that this is visible in the overall effect, but I was still left with a certain sense of loss after seeing the results. The main and ultra-wide sensors are nice, although they produce images with a little too much contrast. I can see some smearing at the edges, but I couldn't find any other flaws, regardless of whether I clicked at 000:1/1:3/4:9 or full screen.

The ultra-wide mode is very useful, and actually the depth of field sensor works well, not so the macro. These 2 Megapixel sensors have already failed with other phones, and here they are only good for taking poor pictures of very close subjects. Of course, there are the usual filters here too – gold, cyberpunk, etc. -, you can do all kinds of funny things, for example you can change the sky around the buildings, but the Mi 10 Lite already knew that. There is AI, HDR mode and of course Google Lens also works. It occurred to me that if the price of the Poco X3 NFC remains so low, the competitor's models will be in big trouble.

As for the videos, they are very similar to the camera capabilities, not perfect, but much better than I expected. I would like to point out that in addition to 1080p 30/60FPS and 4K 30 FPS, there is also image stabilization, which is rare in the sub-HUF 80 segment. I tried to suck it in all kinds of ways, and when turning to the side, you can feel that the picture drags, but if you just move forward smoothly, it's almost as if the phone is in a gimbal. The detail in 4K 30 FPS resolution is good, the colors are beautiful, but in some modes it tends to oversaturate and For Full HD it could be more detailed, but I think it fits well in this price category. Here too, there are all kinds of modes, kaleidoscope, time-lapse, slow-motion recording, VLOG and the like. Anyone who feels enough creativity can create freely.

Summary

The Poco X3 NFC is a real in-house butcher, as it has become so good that it makes a lot of other Xiaomi phones redundant. I don't even know where to start, but the quality is great, it looks hot, the hardware is strong, the 120 Hz display, its performance is enough for games, and it's also packed full of sensors, so it's really full. And its camera capabilities are in the top 10% of its category, you can't expect much better than that in this segment. It is free for a fairly long operating time, and the 33 W fast charging, which takes 65 minutes to go from 0 to 100.

Sales are a in the official Aliexpress Xiaomi store begins, which was also reflected in the presentation, so we are really talking about a direct relationship with the manufacturer. In this way, we can be sure that all products are original, and we also receive a 2-year warranty. Fortunately, in addition to the Chinese center, we can request delivery from EU warehouses, and this guarantees that we do not have to pay VAT when the product arrives in the country, and the delivery time is only 3-7 working days. So we recommend it to everyone, even if the price is a little higher compared to the Chinese warehouse.

September 10. until 9:00 a.m. in addition there is an early bird discount for the first 5000 copies, so a The 6/64 model can be purchased for HUF 66 with the coupon code POCOX500DDM3, and the 5 GB version for HUF 128 with the code POCOX75DDM000 (these are EU warehouse prices).

I don't understand how the price of the Poco X3 NFC got so low. Who the hell will buy Redmi Note 9S and 9 Pro after this? I don't think anyone, but the Mi 10 Lite is also under pressure, and it only survives with its AMOLED display and 5G services. The distance is HUF 30 anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if the Poco X000 NFC could cannibalize its customer base - let's say that of the Samsung A71. I think this is the highest score I've given a Xiaomi phone so far, and it's no accident, it's definitely a steal for that much.
