Heated vest test 1

We already had a heated vest test, but the not particularly high-quality garment was not an undivided success in the editorial office. I didn't give up on the thing for one reason, I saw one on a unicycle friend that I would have bought too. Then I found the Excalibur for winter hikers and commuters, moreover, discounted from HUF 9000 to HUF 6000, which the BGMoto88  can be accessed with a code. That's quite a big difference, and since I've seen the stuff live, I've already pulled in the product, which arrived duty-free due to its low price.

It has two pockets on the side, the USB-A connector is hidden in the left one, through which you can solder the heating wires. It heats with a total of 4 panels, there are 2 areas on the back and two more areas under the pockets from which the heat flows. There is also a version where heat is released in 5 areas, also for that worth a look. There is a button on the chest near the heart, with which you can control the temperature. This is also indicated by color on the vest, blue means 45, white 55, and red 65 degrees. The garment can be washed in a washing machine without further ado. It is worth paying attention to the sizing, the pictures show Sonkamod, who is 170 tall and 69 kg, the 2XL is just right for him, so first look at the size chart, then order.

One of the cardinal questions regarding heated garments is the operating time, which depends on the capacity of the power bank you use. Based on the size of the pocket Baseus' 30 mAh giant it doesn't fit, but an average 10 Ah battery does. Since the garment does not come with anything like that, I recommend the Xiaomi or the Blitzwolf the purchase of a 10K battery, for both approx. They ask for HUF 5500.

According to the factory specification, a 10 mAh power bank can supply energy to the vest for up to 000 hours at the highest level, but I measured how much it actually is. Unfortunately, this is not so easy to do, because it consumes a constant 8 At, but depending on which gear you are in, the electronics will turn off for a longer or shorter time. I let it run for an hour at maximum speed, so approx. I got a value of 1,3 Wh, which is exactly 4,5 hours for a 36 Wh - 10.000 mAh - power bank.

Where can a heated garment be used? I'll give you just a few tips to get your fantasies started: hiking, fishing, or when using electric vehicles for commuting. The ultimate combo is a Kugoo ES2, which has a USB port, you can even charge from there. I also looked at what other people bought alongside it, unsurprisingly one heated insole, which can also be cut to size.

By the way, the vest does its job properly and provides a great feeling of warmth in practice. What works for me is wearing it under my sweater, so my clothes retain the heat better, but you can even wear it outside in less chilly weather. It is also great for everyday use, I recommend it to everyone.

Summary

It is not worth exaggerating the mystery of the heated vest: it is a piece of clothing that works in practice and is of good quality. Take care of two things so that you don't mix it up with other, similar products - for example this type avoid - and ask for at least 2 sizes larger than the size. The easiest is if you start from the size chart, then the HUF 6000 gadget will not disappoint you, just don't forget to use the BGMoto88  code.
