Heated insole test
Winter-relieving cheapness

The creative workshop has started again, now that the first snow of the year has fallen. What would relieve the cold? For example, a heated insole, which is also a penny item, and all you need is a power bank, which everyone has at home anyway. It is worth HUF 1850 even if it will not be good for you in the family, but fortunately it can be cut to size, just like its traditional counterparts.
The insole went into the 43-44 shoes without any problems, but since the heating elements are in the middle, the edge can be cut off, so the gadget can also be tailored to size. It has two versions, the #01 is good for a foot size of 35-40, while the #02 is good for a foot size of 40-45. I also get a template to help you cut around if the basic shape is not good.
The footwear can heat up quite a bit, after staying in a room for a long time it is already uncomfortable, which does not mean more than 28-30 degrees, but since you will feel the heat at your feet, it is quite a lot. I tested it at minus 1-2 degrees, I think it's too hot even here, and it bothered not only me, but colleague Molcsa as well. There must be fakirs who are trained in the art of walking on fire, but according to them, we are not one of them. It is also clearly a disadvantage that the temperature cannot be adjusted, or heat or not, there is no other status, not even an off button.

Contrary to what you see in the pictures of the press material, I wouldn't give it such a heavy load, say a 30-40 kilometer tour, it's not sure that it could handle it, just as, for example, it's not good for running. Skiing is a slightly different matter, unfortunately I didn't have the chance to try it due to the deplorable snow conditions in Hungary, but there the shoes keep your feet relatively fixed, but if they are still uncomfortable, it will be quite fiddly to take them off. It is clear, however, that the heated vest is a degree more comfortable, the test you can read here, and also has an improved variant, in coat form, which you could even find under the Xiaomi logo last year, and now we also tested.
There is also an alternative way of using the stuff, preheating shoes. You don't necessarily have to have the pike on your feet, it's enough if you put the insoles in, let them warm up, and then quickly put on your shoes, and you can "switch up" with a level of comfort.
Summary
Compared to HUF 1850 for the heated insole, it works very well and does its job, but unfortunately not perfectly. Since the temperature cannot be controlled, it was too hot for us. The cable routing can also be problematic, some were annoyed by it, some were not, and we didn't completely agree on the matter either. However, there is no doubt that it improves the feeling of heat, I can easily imagine that there are people who would use this in the cold. However, only the braver should take the heated insoles on a hike or ski, and if you're a goose, let it be fat, slap on a vest right away.
Pro
- Surprising, but it works
- It gives a pleasant warmth
Kontra
- Cable routing is fiddly
- It has only one degree
- We think it's too hot, but cold people are preferred
