The CMF by Nothing Watch Pro 2 is the latest entry-level smartwatch from the sub-brand under the Nothing brand. Clean design, neo-retro shapes, unique look with interchangeable bezel, countless sensors, AMOLED display, support for a million sports with GPS and brutally long battery life are the main reasons for buying it. However, a few things didn't fit into the DPF20 OFF 26 available with a coupon FtDue to the conversion rates of the webshops, the prices may differ for different currencies (e.g. if you set the webshop to HUF, the prices are usually higher than if you set it to USD). The prices indicated in the article are informative and in all cases are HUF equivalents of the price displayed on the webshop's interface in USD (or in EUR, if there is no USD option) (according to the interbank exchange rate valid at the time of writing the article).for a price of . The test reveals what features were sacrificed, scroll down for the details!
If only because the basic box only includes a silicone strap for the watch, along with the magnetically snap-on, 2-pin charger and the manual, but you can't expect anything more in this price range.
On the other hand, I found the pharmacy quality to be good, I didn't find anything to complain about in the aluminum-framed watch,
although I think the inscription “CMF by Nothing” makes everyone smile. The overall effect is great, and few companies can convince the consumer that this is a very premium product like Nothing the CMF. 44 mm in diameter, depending on the design Weighing 44-48 grams The watch is neither small nor large, it will look good on average feet, it is not uncomfortable to wear, but there is no fabric strap model, So in the summer, the skin under the silicone strap can sweat, and my wrists got red from it too. Here you can find the PPG sensor, which is responsible for displaying blood oxygen levels and heart rate, and the speaker, through which you can make calls, but there are no "fancy things" like ECG measurement.

However, there is a casing that meets the IP68 standard, meaning the watch can withstand being submerged in water up to 1,5 meters deep for 30 minutes.
Plus, the manufacturer supposedly subjected the product to all sorts of rigorous tests. It can withstand cold and heat, it can withstand salt spray – I think this is the corrosion test – but even the right-hand rotary button responsible for navigating the menu can withstand 50 presses. However, it has not been certified for 000/5 ATM pressure resistance, so even though the watch supports 10 sports – a lot of which I haven't even heard of – you can't swim with itInterestingly, not all of these activities are listed in the menu; you can "upload" the ones you want to access to the watch from the app.

The front is bordered by a 1,32-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466×466 pixels,
which is a lot, Amazfit GTS and Redmi Watch owners may cry. The panel brightness is 620 nits, refreshes at 60 Hz, this is considered good in this category and so the flashlight function can also be used well. The look With 100+ watch faces can be varied, most of them follow the retro futuristic line, there are a couple of very cool pieces. However, I didn't come across any quick button variants, but you can edit your own unique ones in the CMF Watch app.

The CMF by Nothing Watch Pro 2 is charged using the usual USB cable.
It charges a 305 mAh battery in about 100 minutes, which is enough for 11 average days.
Whatever this means, it took me about 9 days because I didn't run it all the way through, which eats up electrons a lot, so maybe the 25 hours of GPS time more telling data. People are usually happy with a marathon completed in 4 hours, and that makes 6, so you don't have to count on charging that much. This is the advantage of closed sports watch systems, in return, you couldn't install apps on it, like on a TicWatch, for exampleOf course, hybrid watches like the Amazfit Balance also handle apps and last a long time, so there is already a solution on the market that combines the two advantages fairly well, but they don't cost that much.

The navigation of the watch is quite straightforward, it works like pretty much all similar products. Swiping down brings up the settings menu, swiping up brings up notifications, Moving from left to right and right to left takes you to the circular menu. This includes call data, music control, daily movement values, and weather. You can bring up the function menu with a single scroll button, and scroll up and down within it. The content is essentially the same as what you find in the app, so it's worth approaching things from there.
For those who weren't alive then, the magic of novelty that CMF is taking on with all its might will surely strike them. I really liked that its menus are transparent, However, it takes about a week for it to generate enough data to display training load, proper sleep data, or stress level. It knows quite a lot:
- pulse and blood oxygen level measurement
- daily activity data: steps, calories burned, elapsed time, number of stand-ups
- stress level
- sleep data
- menstrual cycle
- activity scoring (no PAI here like Amazfit or Xiaomi)
- training load (and the necessary recreation time)
- starting a sport (with configurable goals such as distance, time, calories, etc.)
- clock face replacement
- personalize sports list (out of 120 sports, about 10 can be added to the menu)
- setting reminders like drinking water or standing up
- adding contacts to the sports watch for making phone calls
- customizable labels in each watch menu
- call notification
- world clock and alarm clock
- quick replies to messages (these are in English by default, but you can also add Hungarian or rewrite the English messages)
- adding reminders
- music control

What quickly becomes clear about the CMF by Nothing Watch Pro 2 smartwatch is that it is not that strong on the sensor front.
Gyroscope, accelerometer, GPS, PPG sensor, microphone with speaker and that's about it. Excluding the BT 5.3 wireless connections, it does not have any other transmission – ANT+, WiFi –, so the more advanced features are completely missing from the watch. Many will be sad to see no NFC, so you can't pay with it, no serious training support, connection of external sensors, eSIM, backup storage for music, and data transfer to external processing platforms – e.g. Strava – is also not possible. There is a light sensor, however, Skipping one of the most annoying things you can do in gym class, fortunately that's not the case here.
As for body data measurements, I compared it with the Amazfit Balance watch, and the latter is more consistent than the Watch Pro 2. It works well 90% of the time, but sometimes it wanders off into the pulse universe., and there were times when it suddenly measured 75 instead of the previous 67 when the measurement cycle started again. I experienced this more or less while running, It tracked my heart rate acceptably, but sometimes got confused when measuring the values. Of course, like all smartwatches and sports watches, I was able to beat the treadmill when I type and walk at the same time while working, because if my hand isn't moving, the watch can't measure.
Then there was some anomaly with the sleep data, because once I woke up, it didn't notice that I had fallen asleep again.
Interestingly, the CMF by Nothing Watch Pro 2 showed a much longer deep sleep phase, like the Amazfit Balance. There are some things that it guesses by feel, such as stress data, which should be based on HRV – heart rate variability – but the watch doesn't show that.
However, there are two extras that many will like, I'll start with the less useful one, the by calling from your wrist. In 1980, this was indeed how they imagined the future, but in practice, talking to your hands is a bit of a clumsy solution, but there are times when it comes in handy. However, it annoyed me several times that I couldn't reject the call even though it came in.
Much better than this is the notification management that correctly displays the entire Hungarian ABC,
to which thisyou can set predefined responses, and you could respond to everything with the push of a button. This is still rare today, and I think it's a pretty important feature, one more argument in favor of the CMF by Nothing Watch Pro 2.
Before anyone thinks that the aforementioned shortcomings are huge flaws, they are not at all, all competitors have about this much or less. The Watch 2 Pro is no worse than these, but it is still worth looking at a Redmi Watch 4-5 and a Xiaomi Watch S3, which are available at a similar price.
Summary
The CMF by Nothing Watch Pro 2 smartwatch did not disappoint, at a price of around XNUMX, it is – or even less – affordable than its competitors. Its design is one of the best on the marketIt's clear that the makers have thought of this, as there are models with leather and silicone straps, the bezel is removable and replaceable, and the look can be customized. There are some shortcomings on the sensor front, it doesn't measure very accurately, but it's not terribly bad either, but the lack of WiFi and NFC hurts.
It's great that It has a light sensor, the app is very good, it's great that you can respond to notifications with custom messages, and it measures quite a lot of things. The contact menu is good, the various alarms are good, these are all things that are useful in everyday life. Its operating time is long.and I think If you're not really looking for a sports watch or smartwatch, but rather a daily activity tracker with GPS, you've found your "soulmate." Even though it supports 120 sports, it is not suitable for serious training, but this DPF20 OFF available with a coupon code 26 400 FtDue to the conversion rates of the webshops, the prices may differ for different currencies (e.g. if you set the webshop to HUF, the prices are usually higher than if you set it to USD). Pro
- He knows a lot
- Highly variable appearance
- This retro design is awesome.
- Pre-written message responses, even in Hungarian
- Lots of features that transcend categories (e.g. calling)
Kontra
- No NFC, so no electronic payments
- Heart rate measurement takes time to adjust to appropriate values.
- The silicone strap is so sweaty that my skin got sores even in winter (choose a leather strap)
What is HRV?
HRV is nothing more than variability in the time difference between heartbeats The heart rhythm is not completely regular, the time between two heartbeats (RR interval on the ECG) changes dynamically, and this variability is measured by HRV.
HRV provides information about the state of the autonomic – sympathetic and parasympathetic – nervous system and reveals a lot about the body's general health and adaptability to stress, which is why stress data is derived from it.
