Here is the third delinquent Ninkear N16 Pro among the devices that strengthen the line of Ninkear notebooks. This machine in the 16-inch category has 32 GB of RAM and 2 TB of NVMe storage, coupled with an Intel Core-i7 processor and a 2,5K with a display. It's a great companion at work and has extras like a fingerprint reader or WiFi 6 standard support. In addition, during our test, the machine underwent some creasing, let's see what came out of it!

The dust collection of the N16 Pro is almost perfect, except for one or two small things:

  • 1 jack output for headphones
  • 1 USB 2.0 port
  • 2 USB 3.0 connectors
  • 1 gigabit RJ45 ethernet connector
  • 1 HDMI (1,4?)
  • 1 Type-C (not fully functional, you can't charge through it, nor can you transfer images)
  • 1 DC in, that is, the power supply input

The problem with enumeration is that you can't put a monitor on Type-C either – the controller does not support DP-ALT technology -, nor can it be charged through this.

With this much power, they could have encased a USB 3.0 here, in practice there is not much difference between the two, as Type-C does not support anything meaningful, and there is even a separate ethernet port. I couldn't find an exact source for the HDMI version number, but in the absence of a dedicated video card, it's not that important either. But yes, how the N14 Pro's crappy 4.2 BT chip has been banished, replaced by one that supports 5.0 was added to the motherboard of the Ninkear N16 Pro, one 6 WiFi along with supporting wireless connection. That's enough for a notebook in 2024. More extras are fingerprint reader and the keyboard backlight, which is very useful in the evening.

It also has an empty SSD space, which can be used to expand the capacity of the hard drive as needed.

It also has 2 speakers, which sounds scandalous - you know there is the 4-letter word... - but this is almost a tradition for Ninkear models.

Ninkear N16 Pro received a lot of memory - 32 GB DDR4 RAM - and a huge 2 TB NVMe SSD storage,

so this is an ideal machine for those who work with a few million browser windows and need to store a lot of data. It is good to know that there is also a 16 GB version of this - fortunately, it is becoming less and less available -, in the case of the 32 GB version, there are 2 16 GB RAM modules in the machine, so in dual channel mode use Ninkear memory modules, which gives 10-20% extra speed on the RAM side. The machinist for moving the bits is one Intel Core i7-1260P, whose name is misleading, because it is a "kórí7" and not a "U or Y" processor - these are sharpened for consumption -, nevertheless, it is not a powerhouse. For those who are not familiar with these here is an excellent explanatory video.

This is not a very recent - 12th Generation, based on Adler Lake - processor, but it received 18 MB L3 cache,

cache in Hungarian, and according to my experience, in terms of speed, this puts the most in the lat. Since components in a computer are always waiting for the slowest element in the chain - usually the hard drive - data is cached by most devices. I think so this is not the main weakness of Ninkear N16 Pro, so basically I wasn't sad about the CPU choice, but there are much more economical/stronger central cores.

The main beauty of the setup is clearly the monitor.

The 2560x1600p - 2,5K - IPS panel can refresh at 165 Hz and has a brightness of 500 nits, which is relatively high. Because of this, it is also visible in bright light, it has good viewing angles, it covers 100% of the sRGB color space, it is capable of HDR, so it is a nice little panel.

Due to the high resolution, even Excel ninjas will be happy, because more lines can fit on such a large surface, but it's not bad for surfing the net either. This 16:10 ratio is a bit strange for movies, 16:9 would be 2560x1440p, so you can't take full advantage of this. We discussed with colleague Attis whether this number of pixels makes sense, and he is right that a Windows 11 Pro - which is of course part of the price - I also had to set the character display to 150%, but this size is available for many applications anyway. It is worth knowing that although the display of the Ninkear N16 Pro refreshes at 165 Hz, the extra monitor that it handles via the HDMI port cannot synchronize with the same frequency during games and the like, since it doesn't have a dedicated video card, just an integrated Intel Iris Xe.

Ninkear N16 Pro notebook - Not bad, but something is missing

I quickly set up the basic things of Windows 11 Pro, explained it, which went without any problems, and then I was able to use it for several days, which roughly means that I threw up the application packages, such as Office, Premier Pro, Photoshop and the like, and logged into all the accounts, what it takes. On the way, I experienced that this keyboard with a full-fledged numeric pad and the recessed, touch pad moved to the left is not bad, but it doesn't offer a premium feel, but I was able to work with them perfectly.

The benchmarks were available, I ran the programs that were used for the other two Ninkear notebooks, and I put a table of the performance data at the end of the gallery. The performance of the Ninkear N16 Pro is very similar to the N14 Pro, with the huge difference that the NVMe SSD in it is very fast, which can be felt in the installation and charging times. I experienced no stuttering or slowing down, it also handled my many Chrome windows well, it is practically impossible to use up so much memory while surfing the net.

The weakness of the notebook comes out in the same place as the N14 Pro: this processor is quite slim for graphic programs,

and from this point of view it does not matter whether the CPU model number Core i7-1260P (N16 Pro) or Core i7-1165G7 (N14 Pro), even if the former is approx. 30% stronger. Of course, this was obvious to many at first, still good for basic PS and PP operations, I used it for these as well, and it holds its own in everyday work. Am I surprising anyone by saying that it's not suitable for serious gaming? I don't think so, but the names of Word of Tanks level with lower graphic settings will pass it. The focus here is on the right setting.

Dual cooling is highlighted in the press material, and based on my experience, the Ninkear N16 Pro is particularly quiet.

I measured around 30 decibels, a minimal rustle can be heard, nothing more. Yet does not heat up even at maximum load – which by the way means 64 W, its TDP is also 28 W – very, it just does its job as it should. The key issue for notebooks without vidikarik is the operating time. If you are not strong anymore, do not eat a lot. Its battery is 5500 mAh, which produces 62,7 Wh, which is a slightly higher capacity than average. During normal work, it worked for 5-6 hours, but when driven normally He knelt down in 3 hours, which I think is fine. Its monitor is particularly good to look at, but the fact that you cannot plug an extra monitor into the Type-C port is a huge missed opportunity.

What is a big advantage is that the tool despite its 16-inch size, it is very portable. That's all 1,8 kilograms and 48x28x7 cm, that is, it easily fits into any backpack. I think this is also his greatest achievement: a pretty good travel workstation with lots of extras.

Ninkear N16 Pro notebook - The improved model has arrived

The test so far is the older Ninkear N16 Pro, Intel Core i7-1260P it was about a variant equipped with a processor, but these sets ran out during our test. The new generation received a significant improvement on the CPU front, which is one Intel Core i7-13620H it materializes in the core. AH designation always means good, because it means: "high performance". In other words, the N16 Pro improved on one of its weak points, one much stronger central heart was included.

In practice, this means that contains several caches, Respectively it beats the multi core tests quite well – Score 2-3x – the previous version, as can be seen in the comparison below.

This also means that its price has dropped quite a bit, but it is still difficult to associate it with an opponent at home. In all other respects, it is identical to the predecessor model, so it is up to you whether you ring the bell for the amount requested for it.

Summary

I liked the Ninkear N16 Pro basically, but I think it's a big miss that the Type-C port is not full-featured, so it is not possible to charge it, nor does it transfer monitor images. The process was updated, so the price also went up. Melora is perfect and its performance goes beyond the triumvirate of watching videos/using office programs/surfing the Internet. I've been working on this for a few days and the lots of RAM, huge storage and an excellent display overall it makes for a great notebook. It's just there A15 Plus in-house, which manages +2 monitors and can be charged via Type-C, so the resolution advantage of the N16 Pro will not be a decisive fact for everyone. If, on the other hand, +1 SSD space and high resolution are important to someone, then the N16 Pro is the winner.

I think this notebook is not a bad choice, and luckily there is only a 32 GB version on the market that uses RAM in dual channel mode. Its alternative not much at home, from the outside, the A15 Plus is the one that is even better in terms of price/value ratio, but it was shot into a slightly different segment based on its specifications.
