We've had countless Ninkear notebooks, but so far we've deliberately avoided the smaller models. The Ninkear N15, on the other hand, deserves our attention, as it has 16 GB of DDR4 RAM and 512 GB of SSD storage, along with niceties such as a fingerprint reader or keyboard lighting. The feather-light machine, weighing only 1,6 kilograms, looks like an ideal travel companion. And the price is like washing powder with braked foam: it does not spread beyond 95 FtDue to the conversion rates of the webshops, the prices may differ for different currencies (e.g. if you set the webshop to HUF, the prices are usually higher than if you set it to USD). The prices indicated in the article are informative and in all cases are HUF equivalents of the price displayed on the webshop's interface in USD (or in EUR, if there is no USD option) (according to the interbank exchange rate valid at the time of writing the article).on the border, if you use the BGREUPNKR5  coupon. The delivery from the Czech warehouse is free, it is within the EU, so you don't have to expect any additional costs.

Not much abroad, these cheap notebooks are not exactly famous for their design feats,

but I also had a Xiaomi Mi Gaming purchased in 2019, costing 400 Fronyo, and it doesn't look like a Razer or an AlienWare. Clean – or rather oversimplified – forms and stove silver paint everywhere, it's not very interesting, but it doesn't hurt the eyes either. I judged the materials to be a little thin and, like the car door slam test, I came up with one here, and that is the resistance to lifting the screen. Jthe Ninkear N15 keeps me safe, it is pleasantly difficult to unfold, which is probably more accidental than intentional. I don't think the engineers put much thought into this quality-enhancing feature. In the box I found a power supply, a set of keyboard labels, the description, a mouse and pad, nothing else. However, they used to give a not very good laptop bag with Ninkear notebooks. It seems that this did not fit into the price, but with this momentum, they could have left out the others and carved a little more out of it.

Let's continue digging and rotating the device, as this will reveal which ports have been encased on the Ninkear N15 Air motherboard:

  • 1 HDMI (don't know which version)
  • 2 USB 3.0
  • 1 microSD card slot (miniSD according to the press material, but not)
  • 1 x 3,5 mm jack

What is missing? DisplayPort, but a Type-C port is even better, because this flat, if it was designed to be so light and weak, could easily be charged through the modern connector. But now comes Chinese black magic: there is Type-C to DC converter cable On Aliexpress, I recommend it to everyone, with this - and a better power bank - the operating time can be extended normally. The lack of a Type-C port hurts in another way: you cannot connect 3 monitors, but they don't usually put much on the travel stuff. And you can already travel with it, because only 1,6 kilograms and only 18 mm thick, which is certainly considered low with a 15,6-inch display size.

I'll move on to the battery section, because if the Ninkear N15 Air won't be a powerhouse in envelope form, at least it will last a long time. You can use 5800 mAh, or in other words 44 Wh, which, contrary to the company's claim, is not so much. My partner's HP was 51 Wh, while the Ninkear A15 Plus had a battery of 69,3 Wh. On paper, the N15 Air is 8 hours – in reality more like 5-6 – video viewer performance must be managed in place, because this is not the big battery, but the Celeron N95 it is due to its low consumption. As for wireless connections, dual ac WiFi and BT 4.2 available, the latter is almost a retro version, but it does its job.

The Ninkear N15 Air keyboard has an American layout, which means that you have to get used to the "short" enter key and the absence of the "í" letter.

but I already know by heart that the latter can be entered with the ALT+J combination. I was glad to have it backlight, which is rare in this category, is fingerprint reader and even more so. The touchpad has been moved a little to the left for more comfortable use, but it still feels a bit low-end. The pressure point could be more defined, it is difficult to scroll up and down, but it is good so that even if you have left the mouse at home, you still have something to work on.

Ninkear N15 Air notebook test - Benchmark is the truth

I don't want to argue that I think a notebook is strong or weak, because it is measurement software is pretty good at showing the truth. Of course, the real feeling will be completely different if you, for special tasks - e.g. They were looking for tools for CAD design, gaming, graphic work. It was known in advance that the Ninkear N15 Air is not suitable for these, it will be a machine for watching movies, surfing the net, and writing e-mails.

Since we have already tested countless Ninkear noteboots, it is worth reading their tests on the one hand, and being aware of the power order on the other hand:

  1. Ninkear A15 Plus: 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, Ryzen 7 5700 U (4 MB L2, 8 MB L3 cache)
  2. Ninkear N16 Pro: 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, Intel Core i7-1260p (16 MB L3 cache)
  3. Ninkear N14 Pro: 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, Core i7-1165G7 (12 MB L3 cache)
  4. Ninkear N15 Air: 16 GB RAM, 512 MB SSD, Intel N95 (6 MB L3 cache)

+1: N-One Nbook Ultra: 32 GB RAM, 1 TB, Ryzen R7 8845HS (8 MB L2, 16 MB L3 cache)

One thing is clear from the above list, the first 3 Ninkear notebooks have normal processors, with an adequate amount of cache. And the +1 is a much more powerful notebook to be tested in the near future, which also has much rougher hardware. With this I want to highlight that There is no such thing as a free lunch, if something is cheap, the components in it will perform much less than in more expensive solutions. In this case, with the Ninkear N15 Air, it looks like this:

  • CineBench R23 (multi core/single core): 2791/928 points
  • Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4.0 (maximum resolution 8xAA): 3,4 FPS/87 points
  • Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4.0 (maximum resolution no AA): 11,3 FPS/284 points
  • CrystalDisk Mark 8, (sequential reading and writing): 1771/1507 MB/s

As you can see, based on the numbers above, it is not worth running any graphics or other resource-intensive applications on the Ninkear N15 Air.

As they say, "you have to handle it in place", which I think is one of the most common excuses for poor hardware. of course for a mini PC used as a file server this is perfectly fine, but spending time at active work wondering if I can start another YouTube video or open 2 more Chrome browser windows is quite problematic. This is also compounded by the fact that as our world develops, more and more people are starting to program, use all kinds of frameworks or tinker with graphics software. But to give a more glaring example, I have 20-30 browser windows open at the same time, and I know a few other people who use the same number. The Ninkear N15 Air is not suitable for running most of them. However, after booting, if you let it "rest" for a while, the 70-90% processor load drops nicely, and the feeling of use smooths out. The mills grind slowly, but sooner or later they will do their job.

Let's summarize what the Ninkear N15 Air is good for: surfing the net, writing e-mails, browsing, watching movies.

Just like a tablet, only it has a normal keyboard, and it doesn't run Android, but one full Windows 11. Today, however, such licenses can be bought for a few thousand forints, so this is not such a merit. The explanation of the operating system went smoothly, I didn't run into any major mistakes, despite that, the machine is not suitable for more serious work. However, nowadays everyone has at least 2-3-4 devices at home, on which they consume content or perform other activities. Smartphones, tablets, notebooks, desktop computers, TVs, mini PCs all support this activity in a different way.

Source: Banggood

And that brings us to the Ninkear N15 Air display, which is the best part of the setup,

and that's actually why it's worth buying the machine, because you can consume content on it. The resolution of the 15,6-inch IPS panel is Full HD, that is 1920 × 1080 pixels, like this the aspect ratio is 16:9. For some reason, all tablets these days have 1920×1200 pixels - this is 16:10 - which is good for surfing the net, but bad for watching movies, because you get two huge black bars at the bottom and top. Full HD, on the other hand, is closer to the 4:3 and 3:2 cinematic aspect ratios, so you have more useful areas for watching movies, on a much larger panel. So the Ninkear N15 Air can also be a competitor of 10-12 inch tablets, because their scope of use is roughly the same, only the cinema experience is better.

The machine is quiet enough, it doesn't break the cinematic idyll either, but the speakers are lousy, this is a Ninkear disease, the other models were also terrible.

So in the end, my verdict was that if you are not a fan of Android, watch movies from bed, don't have a huge TV and sound system, but want to see what's happening on the screen on a larger scale and want a relatively flexible device, buy an Apple tablet at a high price, or a N15 Airt for less than HUF 100. And I can understand them.

Summary

There is nothing new under the sun, you have to pay a lot for powerful hardware, the cheap one does not deliver enough power. The price/performance curves for the Ninkear N15 Air intersect somewhere low, this is the little money, little football case. The speakers are terrible, the battery life is average, but anyway not a bad device if you want to surf the net, watch movies, browse, and you hated typing on a virtual keyboard. I can also list some interesting extras that can help you decide, that's how it is fingerprint reader, keyboard lighting, the full-fledged Windows 11, and the whole good display.

If you don't need cocoa and you feel like a patient person, then a BGREUPNKR5  by clicking the coupon 95 600 FtDue to the conversion rates of the webshops, the prices may differ for different currencies (e.g. if you set the webshop to HUF, the prices are usually higher than if you set it to USD). By the way, this is much lower than the previous price, we wrote about it here.

Let's say you get one for a little less than twice as much A15 Plust, which I think is a much better product, but not everyone needs the "Plus" performance.
