There are two very good fryers on the market, I previously praised the BlitzHome BH-AF2 in the test to the skies. They had one problem in common: average capacity and only one dish could be prepared in them at a time. Ultenic brilliantly solved this with a touch panel, double basket, 8 liter hot air oven. Earlier, I mentioned the small size of the fryers as an advantage, but this cannot be said so much about the Ultenic product.

Obviously, the increase in internal size also makes a significant contribution to this, this is a double oven machine with 2x4 liter baskets. The exterior is a typical small kitchen appliance, neither beautiful nor ugly, the use of materials is not bad, for example better than a For Chefree AFW01. Its panel is horribly reflective when turned off and also collects fingerprints, but as soon as you put it under power, it all makes sense, and in the end, that's how it looks.

Pulling out the two baking baskets on the front reveals a silicone, heat-resistant interior with a grease-absorbing grid.

I love this design for two reasons: the liquids drain nicely under the grate, so it's easy to pour it out later, and it can be disassembled and washed in the dishwasher, so it is very easy to clean. Anyone who would otherwise think that hot air fryers need zero fat will be disappointed, because all oil/fat should be used, for example, with meats so that they don't dry out completely, but at least the food doesn't stick around in it and the like. It is enough to spread a little on their surface, but otherwise the pre-fried straw krumplin has enough fat to be enough for it.

The cooking temperature can be varied between 80 and 200 degrees Celsius, and it can hold a total of 8 liters of food, which is accompanied by a power of 2850 W.

In other words, the manufacturer went for an increase not only in terms of size, but also in terms of cocoa content. Everything can be set easily from the touch panel, everything is quite self-explanatory, but if not, the description will help. Are predefined profiles also - a total of six -, for example on fish, chicken, cookies or even French fries, and the left and right ovens can be operated separately. It also means that they could prepare two dishes at the same time, that is, the side dish can go with the meat, you don't have to run two rounds to prepare it. Like all hot air ovens, this one also circulates the air, so food cooks more evenly compared to traditional heating fiber solutions. It also has a pre-heat function, this is the icon with arrows pointing up.

For the Ultenic K20, there is also an application called Ultenic, in which you can find 100+ recipes,

but I don't think it's a particularly important feature in the age of the Internet. And that's it, it's not good for anything else, so I didn't use it. What can you bake with it? Pretty much anything, though it can dry, bake cakes and steam vegetables, but you can also make dried fruits, there are also 6 different operating modes for these. Of course, the two oven spaces have independent temperature control, that is, any two modes can be activated in parallel. In fact, only your imagination and knowledge limit what you can get out of it.

One of my favorite functions is "sync finish", which is nothing more than synchronizing the two oven spaces.

In this case, the Ultenic K20 tries to finish the two food preparation operations at the same time, so neither the main dish nor the side dish will cool down by the time the other is ready. This is solved by delays the start of the program for food with a shorter cooking time. The other is timing. You can set the time to start cooking up to 12 hours in advance. This is useful because if you prepare the food, but the guests are, say, late, you can postpone the baking/cooking, and the K20 automatically manages this.

Practical experience shows that it also cooks quickly, the chicken breast is ready in 20 minutes and the sweet potato in 18 minutes at 200 degrees.

So half the time, as in a pan, and you don't have to stand next to it and stir, the oil won't splash, it beeps when it's done baking etc. and you really only need to deal with it for the first 5 minutes until you put the stuff in and start the Ultenic K20. In other words, if you only make a meat dish once a week, even then once a year They won 50×35 minutes with it, i.e. more than 1 day, I would buy it for that reason alone.

Minimally drying, but anyway, if you use the right spice mix, the finished dishes are very tasty. Unfortunately, the shape of the oven spaces is not ideal, their side walls are relatively high, but narrow. For example, you can normally only put meat in them in one layer - or turn them back and forth - but you can use more than one layer of potatoes. If the side walls were lower and the container larger, then the small kitchen appliance would be huge, so this is still a pretty good solution.

Summary

Complementary and very easy to use, Ultenic K20 became a not overly complicated product. In terms of quality and material use, you could take an example from, say, Xiaomi, but it has no real faults. The recipes in the app are useful, but I wouldn't call them very special, on the contrary with the double oven space, which makes this whole product worth buying. It's great that you can prepare the side dish and the meat at the same time, and how the start of baking can be timed and the end can be synchronized. The internal size is quite large, 8 liters can easily fit 3-4 servings of food with side dishes, but the best thing is how quickly it cooks.

Pro

  • Double oven with 2×4 liters
  • Easy to clean
  • The device synchronizes the cooking between the two oven spaces
  • It can be timed
  • It's very easy to use

Kontra

  • I could still improve the quality, but that's why the stuff costs so much
  • There is no meaningful app, from this point of view the press photos are misleading
