Blitzwolf BW-DLT1 – Good and looks good too

Blitzwolf lamps almost have a tradition, they come in countless variants and really sell everything from monitor lamps to table lamps. The DLT1 is a kind of hybrid, portable table lamp that is battery-powered, foldable, and therefore easy to transport. Of course one of the specialties of such devices is that the head can be set at a very large angle, and the stem can be pulled out, so on paper everything is ideal, but let's see what practice shows.

I emptied the contents of the usual green and white BW box, found the cylindrical lamp, the description and the Type-C cable, which you will use for charging. It's interesting that the body of the lamp must be drawn from a cylinder, this is done by lifting the top, this is the lighting body of the lamp itself, which is a semicircular LED, it sits on a telescopic stem. Unfolding this and pulling it out its height can be adjusted, and the angle of inclination can be set almost anywhere by turning the head of the lamp. And this flexibility makes the DLT-1 a very useful object, it can be moved and rolled anywhere, I really liked the solution.

The control is very simple, everything can be adjusted with the touch buttons on the sole.

From left to right, this means the following: switching on and off, brightness adjustment in 5 steps, color temperature in 3 steps between 300-5000 K, reading mode - this sets the lamp to a given color temperature and maximum brightness -, timer for 45 minutes, and a green charge indicator, which shows the current status of the battery. An important thing popped up during testing, if it is discharged and I plug it into the Type-C port, does it work even while charging? which otherwise takes 5,5 hours. I mean, yes, so it can also be permanently connected with a Type-C port charger plugged into a 230 socket, so it can also be used as a full-fledged lamp. I did the same, but since my partner moves his laptop around a lot and he also needs light, I packed it for him, and hanging it over the laptop display can actually be used as a monitor light. I'm not saying it triggers the My BW-CML1 monitor lamp, but it's a pretty good substitute. I can say one thing against it: if you extend the telescopic stem to the maximum, then due to the overweight head, the stem starts to lean forward after a while, and it doesn't hold itself, so it's not worth tilting forward more than 60 degrees, instead you have to play with the angle of the head. Of course, not only monitor, but I also used it as a reading light, it's also perfect for but it is worth choosing a cooler color temperature, it makes the black letters stand out better on the white background.

Summary

The BW-DLT1 turned out to be a good little thing, the question is how much this portable battery-powered lamp will impress the buying public. It is certain that when I go somewhere, a lamp would not be the first thing I would think of to put in my backpack, even though this kind of stuff can be very useful. I didn't discover any special faults with it, the maximum is that the lamp itself can tilt by tilting the stem too far, but fortunately the head can be adjusted separately, so this problem can be easily overcome. Its quality and appearance are very good, as is its brightness, it lasts a long time, it can be folded small, so it's a great, easy-to-use tool.
