About Kukirin G2 Pro we recently wrote a news story, which caused people to buy scooters like sugar. This is no coincidence, there are not too many scooters equipped with a 200 W, 000 Ah battery and double shock absorbers for less than HUF 600, especially not ones with adjustable handlebars and a seat. 15 FtDue to the conversion rates of the webshops, the prices may differ for different currencies (e.g. if you set the webshop to HUF, the prices are usually higher than if you set it to USD). The prices indicated in the article are informative and in all cases are HUF equivalents of the price displayed on the webshop's interface in USD (or in EUR, if there is no USD option) (according to the interbank exchange rate valid at the time of writing the article).they ask for it BG92ac8e  with a coupon, from a Czech warehouse, with free shipping, which is an exceptionally good price.

They also give you a pump and a set of tools,

and of course a quick start guide, the pictures of which do not show much, but it guides you step by step through what you need to do under the heading of installation. Fortunately, the development can also be seen in action, as the rest of the scooter is not bad at all. Relatively the frame is solid, the tires on the wide tread may already be familiar from previous models, and the wheels are balloon and cambered, since on paper this is an all-terrain scooter. This is not a problem as long as the rear, 600 W motor however, it doesn't have all the power in the world, so even though the rubber is bumpy, it won't scrape that much, except on gravel.

As you can see in the pictures, the height of the steering wheel can be adjusted in 3 steps, and because the stage is relatively large, taller people will also fit on it, and if you use the seat, the handlebar height must be reduced anyway. THE 600 W roughly the minimum to carry a person heavier than 70 kilograms up a hill. On paper, it can also overcome 20-degree inclines, or the frame can support up to 120 kilograms, these are of course usually exaggerated values. As for the design, it is attractive, this orange-black color is striking, and this is already the Kukirin at G3, which is its bigger brother, also looked good. I would like to point out that the steering wheel is almost 60 cm wide, which is just fine, I mentioned in connection with the Ienyrid M8 that it is too narrow and because of this the vehicle is nervous, but the Kukirin G2 Pro is not like that.

In addition, there is still some space left for installing a second lamp, if the factory, approx. 10 W wouldn't be enough, but the cooling fin solution is great anyway. It also has an index, side and rear lights, there are even 1-1 lights in the stage - the lighting system has a total of six elements - so you will be noticed on the roads. The adjustable steering wheel can be folded down onto the rear mudguard, where the handlebar lug hooks into a clamp, so it is quite easy to carry despite its weight. A Roll-Base according to rollerservice, the steering wheel breaking problem of the previous Kugoo G2 series is not typical of the Kukirin, so you don't have to stress about it either. The earring can also be hung with a carabiner, so it is multifunctional. The steering mechanism is also good, it can be snapped up with one movement, while a pin must be released to fold it down, so it will not fall down by accident. There is a stand on the left side, which unfortunately reduces the ground clearance, and on the right side is the charging connector, which can be covered with a small silicone rubber cover. Do this, or you'll be a pope IP54 protection.

Kukirin G2 Pro electric scooter test - Technical data is what matters

First of all, let's untangle which of the repeatedly renamed Kugoo/KugooKirin/Kukirin roller types, because they also differ in technical parameters. The ancestor For Kugoo G2 Pro it has nothing to do with the current Kukirin G2 Pro, which is our test subject. The larger model of the first Kugoo G series is the Kugoo G3 was - there is an improved version of this Kukirin G3 called -, while Kukirin G2 Pro's newer sibling model is the Kukirin G3 Pro. If that wasn't enough, there is one from the Kukirin G2 Max version which is stronger and faster than Pro.

So, the Kukirin G2 Pro is based on a 48V system and is powered by 1 600W motor mounted in the rear hub.

The power source is 15 Ah - it is said that there is also a 13 Ah model - this means 720 Wh, which, according to the manufacturer, gives a range of 55 km. These factory estimates are like the consumption of cars according to the WLTP standard: they are never true in practice. On the other hand, using a 31 on the throttle, it can go through mountains and valleys, and when limited to 30 km/h, the 35 kili also comes together. at least below me, who weighs 70 kilograms. But who the hell is going to go that far if the maximum is 45 km/ha? No one. In other words, the range is as long as you push it, you can probably use it for 55 kilos if you use the two-wheeler as a fire extinguisher. Charging takes quite a long time, roughly 7-8 hours.

As far as comfort is concerned, it is not bad, the 8,5-inch balloon tires and the "scissor" structure spring members are able to move quite a lot.

It's a bit hard for my 70 kilos, but it's just fine for heavier individuals, so I'll just say that in terms of price/value ratio, this is one of the best solutions on the market. I think the factory spring can be replaced with a softer one with a little tinkering, it's worth discussing this matter a bit. The other is the rubber, because of which it doesn't grip as much as I would like on asphalt. There is no point in off-road tires in the city, I would definitely change them if I were to use such a scooter in the long term.

The neuralgic point of every cheap scooter is the brake, of which luckily there are 2 120 mm discs available here.

Here too, the jaw presses from one side, but the design is the same as the Ienyrid M8, there is an internal support, so at least the dial is not bent, and the it doesn't even squeak. The similarity is not surprising, I think Ienyrid makes these too, at least on this one video based on this, it seems that the models of the two companies are made in the same place, here you can also see the assembly of the older Kugoo G2 Pros. By the way, with the discs, the scooter stops quite quickly - around 8 meters - but with a better tire, it can be carved even further. The small wheel size also means that discs larger than 120 mm do not fit in the rim. The brakes are said to wear out quite quickly, they need to be adjusted or replaced every 200-500 kilometers, perhaps this is the only point that requires servicing, but fortunately this can be improved, e.g. With zoom set.

The monochrome display is quite pleasant - in some variants it is colored -, relatively easy to read in sunlight, and finally shows the voltage value, from which the charge can be deduced much better than from the stripes. The angle of the panel is adjustable, which is great, because everyone can adjust it to their own height. The throttle is depressed, which I don't think is very comfortable to keep in the long term. I read in several places that there is no cruise control, but there is, it can be switched on in the service menu under parameter P5, you can find how in the quick guide.

Kukirin G2 Pro electric scooter test - Hands-on experience

The machine accelerates dynamically, its terminal velocity really 45 km/h on a flat road, but this also requires good ways to prevent this from happening With 8,5-inch wheels it's a real danger to life, and because of this, this pace also reduces the range. And if you do this rising, you can run out of soufflé very quickly. It can be a solution to increase the range if you do not use the maximum of the three stages, but only the second one, otherwise these The speed is limited to 15/30/45 km/h. The throttle could be more sensitive, because it is not possible to apply power normally. Or it doesn't work - approx. Up to 1/3 position - or very, this could be set much finer.

If you didn't have to press it down with your thumb, it would be comfortable, so, for lack of a better solution, I always pushed it with a cob. I really liked the chassis in the end. It is neither really soft nor really hard, which means that it still provides good cushioning, but you can jump up to 20 centimeters in front of the benches. Since the engine is at the back, the front is light, it is easy to pull up the nose when the curb is high, and it is just as easy to jump off, ideal for the city. Your lights are good, it's true, no one can see the index during the day, but the light on the front is quite muscular, you won't get lost with it even in the dark. I accidentally disturbed the homeless people under the Árpád bridge with it, who think that the **** is strong, I'll give them their opinion.

I hate solutions with an ignition key, I think it's dangerous because you can fall on it, in return it's harder to steal the scooter, but a better bike lock is also suitable for this. The handlebar grips are very good, finally, they are comfortable and my hands didn't feel numb like I did with the Ienyrid M8. His bagpipes are quite loud, but they don't sound like the classic bagpipes, rather they make a strumming sound, which not everyone responds to. Since the machine is rear-wheel drive, it does not skid on slopes, it gives off its torque better than if it were in front, however it runs freely, so there is no re-production. The rear mudguard is fixed and is surrounded by a rather massive metal frame, you could even step on it.

All in all, this stuff is not bad, but obviously after 500-1000 kilometers you could give a complete picture of it, for example, how much of the "4000" screw will shake out of it. It's lucky that these during the null revision, the inflating wheels - it was 4 bar at the factory - and the brake adjustment everyone pulled it, didn't they? Finally, there is a hidden extra that the M5 Pro already has test we also experienced below: if you pull the brake levers and briefly press the power button twice, the limiter is activated, which limits the vehicle to 25 km/h.

Summary

You can't get much around 200-000 W for under HUF 500, there is the Ienyrid M600 and the Kukirin G8 Pro, and the latter is certainly a better choice. I was a little afraid of it, because it is still a "Kugoo" that can be a sick bed, but nothing like that came up during the test, and the Roll-Base the owner, János Varga, also said that the G2 Pro does not break down very much based on his service experience. What I didn't like was its weight, but all of its competitors weigh that much, and its range is quite far from the manufacturer's promise, let's just say maybe I shouldn't have gone with him grinning all the time. Its performance and top speed are quite fine, the stuff is pretty nimble, as long as you do not have to switch to a constant uphill climb and you are not too heavy. For such cases, a 2-motor, more powerful solution or the 1000 W big brother, the Kukirin G2 Max the right.

What I really liked is that the Kukrin G2 Pro is a great development base. For example, you could polish the 120 mm brake - the Roll-Base does that - although the rims are not bad by default, but it is always important to stop, and I would switch to street tires instead of ribbed ones, because 90% of people use these vehicles in the city. If the shock absorption is hard, check whether the factory spring can be replaced with a softer one.

And that's pretty much it, these are "just the usual things", no big deal, which in light of that 189 800 FtDue to the conversion rates of the webshops, the prices may differ for different currencies (e.g. if you set the webshop to HUF, the prices are usually higher than if you set it to USD). The prices indicated in the article are informative and in all cases are HUF equivalents of the price displayed on the webshop's interface in USD (or in EUR, if there is no USD option) (according to the interbank exchange rate valid at the time of writing the article).-ot they ask for it BG92ac8e  with coupon, pretty rough. I'm afraid to say best buy, because you'd have to put a few hundred kilos into it, but it's not bad as a base, and it's faithful as an electric unicycle I also felt the lure of the dark side of rollerblading. "Shame on you", but you should. They are sent from a Czech warehouse with free shipping, which is not a bad price.

Pro

  • Very cheap, approx. best buy in its category
  • It starts fast
  • It also stops decently with the factory brakes (although the 120 disc is quite small)
  • Surprisingly good damping
  • High top speed
  • Nothing wrong with living with it
  • Good base for some development (brakes, springs, street tires)

Kontra

  • Kugoos in places, for example the self-adhesive sticker came off
  • The factory range is only a guide value, and it also charges quite slowly
  • Running up to the second place with 24 kilos is not so easy

The null revision of the Kukirin G2 Pro roller is carried out by our cooperating partner, a Roll-Base performed by electric scooter and bicycle service. If you need appropriate expertise, if you want to have it repaired or rebuilt, feel free to contact János Varga, at Roll-Base to the owner.
