According to public opinion, the Kukirin G2 Max is the best scooter of the new series, and we have to agree with that. On paper, a 1000 W motor, a top speed of 50+ km/h and a range of 50-60 kilometers, livable suspension, wild boar looks, a low price and a livable construction free of glaring defects. THE BGCZBP399  with coupon code 258 FtDue to the conversion rates of the webshops, the prices may differ for different currencies (e.g. if you set the webshop to HUF, the prices are usually higher than if you set it to USD). The assembly is fine, it doesn't rattle, it doesn't rattle, it doesn't want to fall apart, and the manufacturer claims that the scooter is also protected according to the IP54 standard.

As for the finger-pulled performance rubber, for this Roll-Base János said that it is an adhesive material that solidifies under pressure, so I should step on the sufficiently long and wide step, I won't be able to pick it up after 3 days. And really, it smoothed out nicely, and since that was the only point where I wanted to tease about the quality, that was also dropped. What is unpleasant, however, is its weight, 31 kilos including the seat, which is a lot for carrying on the stairs, by removing the seat and its console approx. You can save 2000 grams. In any case, this sitting position is pretty cool, I went like this for a while, but then I took it off because I didn't like the feeling of living in a reclining position, and you can't even fold the scooter. And carrying by the neck is uncomfortable, it is better to lower the steering wheel, so let go of this topic of the seat.

Let's run through the technical parameters, the scooter is 1000W, but more importantly it feels more powerful than the 1200W Kukirin G3. I went back to back with both and it was noticeable how much better the G2 Max is. This means that we quickly reach a speed of 40 kilos per hour, and he could suffer himself from there under me up to 47 km/h the Kukirin G2 Max, but it doesn't suit him anymore. Its wheel is 10 inches, that is, it is eerily similar to the technical parameters of a 50cc scooter, only on electric bases. It's a shame that even in the middle of the city I felt at the bottom of the food chain - but there's the Kukirin G3 Pro - because it's not going well enough to pick up the rhythm with the cars, but you will be the emperors on the bike lane. It is true that where the road is good, the racing bikes come at 50 in a technical shirt, so they also know this pace, but the performance is more than enough to overtake the average scooter/cyclist.

These balloon tires are rubbish, unnecessarily noisy and noisy, replace them.

His brakes are good though, he didn't hit, he held like the danger, there is no ABS, so you can rear, but the Kukrin G2 Max blocks and slides in return, one more reason for a good tire. Unfortunately, after 40-50 kilometers he squeaked also the dial, not yet in a terrible way, but annoyingly so. Since the rim is large, the left, factory disc larger than 160 can also be mounted on it, if you want to improve it. The pad covers almost the entire surface, unlike some of the poorer competitors, which is probably why the braking effect is so good.

Its shock absorption is great, like the G2 Pro, only designed for a slightly larger mass.

It can go down nicely, absorbs road defects, in which the larger wheel size is also a partner. I asked the Roll-Basecan the spring be replaced in , it is possible, but there is a PU rod in it, which there is a good chance not, so it is not certain that you will be able to change the damping. Fortunately, this is (also) a well-done part of the scooter, that shock-absorbing casting and the embodied resistance itself, I don't think this will be a problem in the long run.

The system is 48 V, the battery is 20 Ah, which adds up to 960 Wh, which is quite a lot.

The manufacturer gives a range of 60-80 kilos, that's it in practice it will be more like 45-55, depending on your gas lever habits. I didn't really want to go slowly with him, my team over mountains and valleys, so the expected reference did not come together: a 75-kilogram person, on a flat road, in the heat, with 25. Of course, you can suffer the 60-80, but no one will wish for the suffering that comes with it. However, the large capacity has one drawback: the long charging time. 10-11 o'clock. This is longer than a sleep cycle, so it's not enough to put it on at night to be ready in the morning. There is no fast charging, although at this level it should be and premium manufacturers also offer something like this. Summarizing the above: good engine, brakes and damping, decent driving performance, great range, then where is the bitch?

Kukirin G2 Max electric scooter test - Not everything is perfect

I'll quickly debunk the things I hated about it, luckily it doesn't affect the basic concept, so my opinion remains intact that it's a good scooter. On the other hand, people can be irritated by little things, moreover some elements are also incomprehensible on the two-wheeler because on their other models – G2 Pro and G3 – these are already well thought out. But the compulsion to tinker is great, but it should not be innovated in this direction.

One is the steering wheel closing mechanism, which I think is a…

This winding in and out is annoying, the Kukirin G3, on the other hand, has a safety spring, automatically closing solution, which can be used with one movement. For this reason, the display must also be turned on your console, which will therefore flounder in the longer term, you can constantly drag it, it makes no sense. The other thing that I think is extra lame is the handlebar hook. which must then be charmed out of the hole if you want to set the steering wheel vertically. Why?

Then an ignition key? If you fall, there will be something that sticks in you, it's not good for anything else.

Is there also the otherwise massive and easy-to-use stand, which could not have been hidden on the side of the deck? Így beats on your legs and even reduces the waist height. There is no LED in the stage, which is why it could not have been solved better. There are still the lamps and this terrible mess that was put together with them. The first unit with cooling fins is still okay, it is similar to the G2 Pro, it is also quite good. But the red ones on the side are not visible, and the index is not good for anything. What do you think the red flashing pilác means? I think a brake light with a faulty contact or the signal light at the end of the radio tower installed on airplanes, but definitely not indexing. The bagpipe is an electric whine, neither a bell nor a motor horn. To take it all back, throw it in the trash and replace it with something normal.

The above rant may seem unreasonable, but an almost perfect scooter was ruined by these little things.

It's lucky that none of them really matter, because there are those who will never close the steering wheel, a normal index can be installed afterwards, a bike bell costs HUF 2000, but there are also excellent electric horns on the market. None of them should be a reason not to buy, since all the technical parameters are excellent, as is the travel comfort. Plus, with this range, you can already go hiking, I think you can go around Lake Venice - which has a circumference of 28 kilometers - twice with very fine use.

And in the city, the Kukirin G2 Max is a beast because the front is light, and if you step on the rear kickstand, you can raise the nose.

In other words, the one-wheeling shown in the press material can really be done with it, but I do not recommend it. It's perfect on and off the bench, it can withstand jumping and beating, in fact, the good springing almost requires a firm grip in the city. Its steering wheel is adjustable, so it's no problem for taller people to stand on it, and besides, the steering tube doesn't hang, it doesn't even move, its backlash is almost zero.

I also consider the central display important, which is also inherited from the G2 Pro, so it is a perfectly usable solution.

Kukirin G2 Max displays everything important, even the voltage, from which you can better infer the remaining "play time". In addition, it automatically switches between the ODO and TRIP values, you don't need to press anything, the maximum is the speed limiter. The three stages max out at around 17/39/47 km/h, the machine is also very livable in "two", I used it that way many times. There is a cruise control, it can be set in the service menu - three quick presses - nothing else is really worth checking out of the values. Interesting fact: the display says "single", i.e. single-motor mode, this is because the Kukirin G3 Pron there is also this piece, and it has two motors, but its drive can be switched, which is also visible on the panel.

Kukirin G2 Max electric scooter test - Nothing wrong

The scooter has been on the market for roughly 1 year, and since it runs in quite a large number on the roads, it has already accumulated enough experience. We have compiled the following Roll-Base based on service experience:

  • the rubber is loud and not sticky enough, it's not a technical fault, but it's worth replacing it with a better one
  • the charging connector is Xiaomi standard, the negative side of it can slip out of the plastic sleeve, and in this case there is no charging, this can be repaired cheaply
  • the cable brake must be adjusted after a few hundred kilometers, it also squeaks, if you get tired of messing with it, you can replace it with hydro
  • I had a fine hitch in the steering wheel bearing when stationary - it is not noticeable while driving, it did not hang, it did not wobble - this is caused by overtightening, it wears out with use

That's it, I think many other scooter owners would agree with this.

Summary

Regarding the Kukirin G2 Max I can list a few small negatives that spoil the ergonomics, de there is no serious fault. The construction is reliable, there are few type errors, and it can even be improved if something does not meet the requirements. On the positive side, engine power, excellent suspension, good range and top speed, frame stability and good brakes, which is pretty much all that matters.

When I was at the service station, they brought in a Dualtron Mini Limited Edition for a tire change, where I was drooling because of what a great machine it is, then I looked up its price. Including a fast charger, it costs approximately 600 forints, and the Kukirin G000 Max costs a BGCZBP399  coupon code 258 800 FtDue to the conversion rates of the webshops, the prices may differ for different currencies (e.g. if you set the webshop to HUF, the prices are usually higher than if you set it to USD). The prices indicated in the article are informative and in all cases are HUF equivalents of the price displayed on the webshop's interface in USD (or in EUR, if there is no USD option) (according to the interbank exchange rate valid at the time of writing the article)., from a Czech warehouse, with free delivery. This is a very big leap and the Kukirin G2 Max is not a bad scooter, in fact, among competitors around 1000 W, I think it is the price/value champion. The press already praised it as coal when it was published and its price was over 300, and since then it has almost 20% cheaper. Best buy, take-take.

Pro

  • Powerful engine
  • Sufficient range if you don't pull on him
  • Great shock absorption
  • It is very cheap in its category
  • Well put together and looks good

Kontra

  • It has some annoying weaknesses, e.g. the folding mechanism or the stand
  • The lamps are cast iron
  • I would change the cam tires in town

The null revision of the Kukirin G2 Pro roller is carried out by our cooperating partner, a Roll-Base performed by electric scooter and bicycle service. If you need appropriate expertise, if you want to have it repaired or rebuilt, feel free to contact János Varga, at Roll-Base to the owner.
