The pandemic has made indoor sports quite popular, so it is XMUND treadmill After that, we also took Geemax's product named C1 to our test bench. This is a product that allows running at a maximum of 10 km/h, and of course you can also walk on it if someone wants to. 76 FtDue to the conversion rates of the webshops, the prices may differ for different currencies (e.g. if you set the webshop to HUF, the prices are usually higher than if you set it to USD). The prices indicated in the article are informative and in all cases are HUF equivalents of the price displayed on the webshop's interface in USD (or in EUR, if there is no USD option) (according to the interbank exchange rate valid at the time of writing the article).they ask for it BGHU2521  code from a Czech warehouse, with free delivery. Let's see what test laps we ran on the cheapest treadmill on the market!

I had the black version, but there is also a pink version,

if one were to choose one that is otherwise largely the same black as the test subject, only the plastic covers were recolored. I was far from satisfied with the quality, and it wasn't the fact that they worked with cheap materials that bothered me, much more I had problems with the implementation. For example, in 1-2 places the insulation was sticking out of the machine body, I could barely tighten the screw holding the left handrail, so there are gap problems here as well. You don't have to install too many things on it, you just have to set the railing in a vertical position and put the tablet holder plastic profile on it and you're done. There are two wheels at the front, which can be easily moved, its mass is not too big, and it also has a handle to lift it.

The biggest problem with the machine is the lack of an emergency stop.

Anyone who has ridden a treadmill or jet skied in their life can imagine what one of these looks like, and I will explain it to those who haven't. A clip should be clipped onto your clothes, the end of which ends in a magnetic switch, if you pull this off the treadmill, it slows down and stops. It's not hard to figure out that if you fall, this thing will release and stop the treadmill, reducing the risk of getting your hands or hair, for example, caught in the band. This is not what you will find on the Geemax C1, which I think is a bug and makes it a bit more dangerous to use than it would otherwise be. Of course, there is no need to overdramatize the matter, but it is good to know that this is definitely missing from the repertoire.

Unlike the remote control, which is much better with the Geemax than it was with the XMUND XD-T2, and which I used to regularly hate. You can turn on the machine with a large red rocker switch, and after a quick self-diagnosis, you can start it with the controller. On the "head" part there is a panel that shows the operating data, but it's something so terribly stupid that it's amazing. In principle, by pressing the mode button, you can switch between calories, kilometers traveled and elapsed time, but a rather brutal lamp illuminates the inscription, so nothing can be seen with the naked eye. You have to bend down and then you can read from certain angles what the machine shows back. Or version 2: you learn the order. Or not? Because it changes completely backwards, there were times when it showed the time twice in a row. I don't know what the logic is, I didn't figure it out myself, but if someone deciphers it and writes it in an e-mail, I swear I'll include it in the article afterwards.

As for the '2 in 1' function, this does not mean anything other than that you can walk on it with the railing down,

then the belt rotates at a maximum speed of 5 km/h. I don't know what the point of this is, when it can do 10 km/h when driven up, and you can set the 5 k/h there as well. Plus, at least there is something to hold if someone wants to run without using their arms.

Geemax C1 – Quite a good use after so many bad signs

After a lot of preparation, I jumped on the "paripa" and started to gallop on it. In the previous XMUND article, I explained quite well what the bottleneck is in the case of such a machine, but let's refresh the basics a bit. 10 km/h unsurprisingly means 10 kilometers run per hour, or 6 minutes/km. Even an average runner knows this, when I'm not in a hurry I run around 6:30, but there was a race where I even completed 5:15 in a half marathon.

So, from the above, it can be easily concluded that even a completely average person can reach the limits of the treadmill quite quickly,

that's why I usually recommend that It is worth buying a 12 km/h treadmill. Obviously, it is no longer the entry category, but an extra level, see XMUND XD-T2. The other thing is that running on treadmills is basically easier than running in reality, that's why they usually raise the angle of the tape by 1-1,5%, which these cheap benches, so the C1 can't do either. It's true that none of them costs up to HUF 200, but this also helps you jog at a faster pace. Plus, in winter, you have to put on 000 kilos of clothes because of the cold, so there are basically many factors that support faster treadmill running than real-world record or asphalt running.

How much exactly does a product cost?

For the sake of simplicity, we always convert the USD prices into forints in our articles, usually according to the calculator on the given page. However, the reality is that your bank exchanges the currency HUF 4-5 worse than the interbank exchange rate, which means that the product always costs a little more than the stated price.

You can help by ordering these completely free bank cards, a Revolut, Monese and Curve also offer this – for the latter, you get 5 GBP for free, in the app D4WGX4ZE use a coupon code - or the menu bar at the top #fintech click on the label to read our posts on the topic.

The width of the tape is also a cardinal question,

because the taller someone is, the wider they will stand. XMUND's 110×40 cm running surface is practically the same as Geemax C1's own, which is 40,9×15,4 inches, which practically translates to 100×40 when converted to centimeters. Why can the narrow running surface be damp? Because when you step next to it, your shoes also touch the non-moving frame, and then your foot slips. That's why I recommend everyone to put the distance in front of themselves and try to hold the barrier at first. Once you get used to the feeling of running, you can increase the pace and release the support frame. The load capacity of the C1 is 365 pounds, which It means 120 kilograms. With my weight of 73-75 kilos and my height of 175 cm, I could rarely take side steps, so if you are bigger than me, choose the model with a wider band.

As for running on the Geemax C1, it's basically not bad, it gives the feeling of entry-level running machines without any extras. It is easier to keep the pace than otherwise, the water level can (not) be adjusted well with small extendable legs, if there were four of them, but there are only two of them. This resulted in on the not completely horizontal laminate floor, the tape kept slipping while running in the direction the room sloped. I definitely wanted to verify this error due to the slope with a counter test, so I turned C1 in the room, then the tread slid in the other direction. In this case, it touches the edge of the frame, which does not affect the use in any way, but as time progresses, I think it will wear the tape faster and thus reduce its service life.

The remote control is excellent.

very sensitive, easy to handle, easy to change things on the machine. I missed one thing, however, and that was oiling after runs. The essence of this is that the tape wears out more slowly and does not stick, so the surface is usually lubricated from below either through an inlet opening or by raising the conveyor belt. The description mentions that it is in the package, but mine was not - and others have complained about it - but it is also treated at the factory, which lasts for a while. It is worth re-oiling every 30 hours with gun/spindle/bicycle chain oil - these are actually the same, also known as tool oil - available at any DIY store for a few hundred forints. I also read that someone sent it with WD40, but I would stick with the previously mentioned lubricants.

Summary

The Geekmaxi C1 it doesn't want to be more than an entry-level running machine, and even if he wanted to, he wouldn't go. It has a few shortcomings, I would highlight a couple of them because they can be decisive. One that its maximum speed is 10 km/h, which can be achieved quite quickly in fitness, a another is the lack of an emergency stop, which is also dangerous. The ribbon could also be wider, but you can get a narrower one at home, which is a bit more expensive - around HUF 90 - don't buy it under any circumstances. However, there are a few things on the plus side, obviously, it is cheap, easy to move and, ultimately, to use.
