Formill's new walking and treadmill, the FT52, aims to eliminate the shortcomings of the previous series, the FT51. It can be considered a kind of Pro model, as it offers a 20% increased top speed – which can move the belt at a maximum of 12 km/h – and an adjustable inclination angle of up to 6 degrees, allowing for more "professional" activity in the warmth of our homes. Provided that we are within the maximum load capacity, which is 120 kg for this model. Although it is true that the FT52 treadmill is almost completely assembled – before the mummies were wrapped with shameful care – But for those who encounter such a device for the first time, it can be a bit of a hassle. That's how I was. I lifted the nearly 25 kg machine back and forth until I managed to free it from all its packaging.
Only after that did I realize that the treadmill also came with a magnetic safety clip, a power cord, a manual, a remote control, some lubricating oil, an Allen key, a button battery, a few screws, and supports for adjusting the incline.

Formill FT52 walking and treadmill test – Is weight a sign of reliability, or not?
At that point, I already suspected that it wouldn't just be about leveling the Formill FT52 treadmill with its screw-on legs.
As I wrote, I had never worked with a home treadmill before, but as a seasoned mechanic, I knew right away what I had to do if I wanted to finish quickly. So I immediately opened the manual during assembly and the picture immediately came together. The oil was needed because all treadmills, including the Formill FT52, need to be oiled from time to time to prevent the running surface from wearing out. The Allen key and screws were needed so that we could install and adjust the support that regulates the incline of the riser ourselves. Of course, we can slide the tablet holder into the frame and attach the magnetic safety clip. In addition, we only need to find a power outlet for the power cable and press the main button immediately. ready for operation The Formill FT52 treadmill is in working condition.
Well, we can get our hands on the remote control within an hour or an hour and a half of receiving the package. – which came with a spare battery, as I later figured out – and we can press the start button either on the remote control or on the railing in front of us. I had to take a half-hour nap beforehand because all this lifting was so tiring, but we are not all the same, an Olympic weightlifter wouldn't even notice, but an ordinary superhero husband would definitely sweat from this operation.
Luckily, the magnetic safety clip works great, so as soon as I moved even a little away from the Formill FT52 treadmill, it immediately disengaged and the mechanism stopped immediately. The icing on the cake is that the tablet holder is also designed to be uncomfortably deep.

Formill FT52 walking and treadmill test – “Who is this good for?” Mc Isti
The criticisms described above all targeted the same parameter, the proven small extent, be it the edge length of the tread or the height of the railing. I know it wouldn't be nice of me to judge the Formill FT52 treadmill solely based on its size shortcomings, That's why I took a look at its other parameters and even got my girlfriend to run a few kilometers on the Formill FT52 treadmill, just to see if I could learn more about what kind of wood it was made of – the Formill FT52 treadmill, not my girlfriend. She's 168 cm tall, and according to her, neither the size of the running surface, nor the height of the handrail, nor the position of the tablet holder were bothersome to her.
By then I was convinced that a person weighing 120 kg, no matter how short, would not be able to safely use the Formill FT52 treadmill, not least because of the 38×95 cm running surface. But I also found it extremely questionable that the 2,5 horsepower motor would be able to drive the belt at a speed of 12 km/h under a 120 kg person during prolonged use. Although I must add that I was not able to test the Formill FT52 treadmill in this way.
However, what I found to be a particularly good solution is that the Formill FT52 treadmill stands on the ground with 6 legs, which are also adjustable.
This was very useful for me, because although the parquet floor slowly needs to be re-laid, I never needed the Formill FT52 treadmill – It stayed where I set it, no matter how long I ran it or at what pace. Nor did it tip over when I increased the incline from 0 to 2, 4, and then 6 degrees, testing the maximum incline, which I already felt in my thigh.
The pace at which I was running was mostly noticeable in the sound, because contrary to the manufacturer's claims, 45 dB could be measured at a speed of approximately 1 km/h. At an average speed, when I was jogging between 8-12 km/h, the meter showed a value of approximately 65 dB, which can be quite disturbing. but of course this also depended on whether I used the Formill FT52 treadmill with shoes or barefoot.

Formill FT52 walking and treadmill test – Promises kept and broken
The manufacturers of the Formill FT walking and treadmill series intended the FT52 model to be the Pro version, which differs most from the FT51 Plus version in that: that they increased its maximum speed by 20% and incorporated a 3-stage adjustable incline of up to 6 degrees. These truly proved to be indispensable features and made the Formill FT52 treadmill completely suitable for meeting the needs of a beginner, or perhaps intermediate, not too tall person who wants to jog.
Especially when we add the practical solutions that are found in every Formill FT model, like the casters mounted on the feet, with which we can relatively easily slide the Formill FT52 treadmill under the sofa after folding down the railing, or for example the remote control, with which we can change our speed as we please while running, without having to fiddle with the panel mounted on the railing.
However, there are also a few innovations that didn't really work out, such as the built-in Bluetooth, which in theory is linked to an application and has many great features, but in practice I was unable to link any of the listed apps to the Formill FT52 treadmill. My only success in this area was that I was able to connect my iPhone to it. Although it may be due to iOS's contribution, despite its promise, I couldn't get the Formill FT52 treadmill to play music.
Summary
Throughout my test of the Formill FT52 walking and treadmill, I felt that the manufacturer really tried to learn from the mistakes of the previous series. The higher top speed and adjustable incline are a plus that not only looks good in the specification, but are also very beneficial in use. In addition, there are the typical Formill practicalities – the foldable nature, the casters, the remote control – which make it really convenient to live with in everyday life, especially if you don't have a separate training room where you can store the Formill FT52 walking and treadmill, and you have to pack the machine.
However, as soon as you switch to more serious running, compromises quickly emerge, the size of the running surface quickly feels cramped for taller people, and at a faster pace, you'll no longer enjoy the workout, but rather just want to survive. And the Bluetooth and app are incomprehensible in an iOS environment. In addition to all this and considering its price, we can say that the Formill FT52 treadmill is a good buy in its category and is perfectly suitable for walking and light jogging.
