Xiaomi Smartmi 1S - Ultrasonic or mechanical humidification?
Evaporators usually work in two ways, either they rotate a large laminated "wheel" and use a fan to blow out the evaporating water, or they use ultrasound. The essence of humidifiers is that they keep the humidity in the given room at the right level, so that dry air should not irritate the respiratory tract and eyes. It is also not incidental that it somewhat reduces the amount of dust in the air. Humidifiers like this one of its most important parameters is the capacity, simply because the larger it is, the less often it needs to be filled. 3,5 liter value, which the 1S can show, is not bad, even with that at 10 o'clock it can also be humidified, i.e. it can last a whole night, for example.
Evaporated water can can also be sterilized with UV light, that is, it also has a kind of health-preserving role. Anyone who might downplay the physiological effects of vaporization should know that doctors often recommend vaporizer devices for asthmatics, unfortunately I know this from my own experience. Keep the humidity between 1-40% compared to 80S, opinions are divided about what is ideal, typically for younger people the higher is recommended.
Such equipment can cover roughly 10-20 square meters, i.e. not the entire apartment, but the humidity in the living room or bedroom will be kept at the same level. Another advantage of ultrasonic humidifiers is that they are quieter, in the case of the 1S this means 42 decibels, which is approx. the level of the falling leaves, so you can even sleep next to them.
