THE ARTICLE WAS UPDATED WITH NEW MODELS: 2025.01.07

The Geekbuying online store was a real sleeper seller for years. They never made a big splash, but they built up nicely, and this year they have been with us for 12 years, which is no small thing, depending on how many competitors have dropped out of the market. Geekbuying is one of the most reliable Chinese online stores that we really like, and we have already bought countless products from them, let's see why!

contents

Geekbuying's offer is not as wide as, say, Banggood or Aliexpress, but it comes from almost all EU warehouses, with free shipping, and quite quickly. They are very much at home in technical products, you can get brilliant mini PCs, tablets, and notebooks very cheaply, but they are also in the picture in cleaning tools. They are also strong in some niche hobbies like 3D printing or laser engraving, and I could go on and on. You don't want to buy clothes and shoes here, but if you need technical stuff, then Geekbuying!

These are the best Geekbuying products (2025)

We selected the products on our list based on the following criteria:

  • more than 10 years, based on our own experience as testers

Who we recommend it to

Teclast tablets have undergone an amazing quality improvement in the last couple of years. The current top model, the Teclast T65 Max tablet, is a real "magnificent" piece, its nearly 13-inch screen diagonal almost rivals smaller notebooks. Basically, we recommend it to those who are looking for something indoors with a larger panel equipped tablet for movies and they need it for higher than average resolution.

Why is it out of stock?

The Teclast T65 Max tablet is a sort of all-in-one commitment for the company. 13-inch display, 2K resolution, you can't throw this into a smaller women's bag, but not even a larger one. This is a real cinema tablet, with a huge battery so that you don't run out of soufflé at halftime. Not incidentally, it fulfills all important tablet features: it supports the Widevine L1 certificate, there is a 4G modem and WiFi for Internet access, and the backup storage can be expanded up to 1 TB using a micro SD card.

HiBREW H10B semi-automatic espresso coffee machine - Chinese De'Longhi upgraded with pressure sensor

Advantages of the espresso coffee machine:

  • De'Longhi on steroids
  • pressure control sensor
  • convincing build quality, small dimensions
  • compact entry-level machine, with fairly good use of materials
  • it has a steam pipe, you can use it to make milk foam for milk drinks

Specification

  • Type: espresso
  • Heating element: thermal block
  • Performance: 1450 W
  • Pump pressure: 19 bar
  • Water capacity: 0,8 liter
  • Type of coffee drink: espresso-based and milk drinks
  • Milk frother: by
  • Extras: automatic shutdown
  • Portafilter: 51mm
  • What do you expect?: 1 or 2 serving espresso basket, ESE POD

Who we recommend it to

There have been some lousy Hibrew products that we would never recommend, but the Hibrew H10B is just the opposite. This is also suspiciously similar to the aforementioned De'Longhi, which is good because it fits in a small space, and its quality is also quite good. This one knows so much more than the Slovenian counterpart that it has a pressure gauge, so a much more precise post-check can be done with its help. We recommend it to those who want equipment that offers more than western brands for little money, with a pressure gauge, a better portafilter and 3 different coffee baskets.

Why is it out of stock?

Even laymen can notice a few things about the Hibrew H10B espresso coffee machine at first glance: its portafilter is much better than traditional solutions, it has a pressure gauge and 3 baskets are added, one of which is non-pressurized. This means that if the grind is uniform and the tampering is good, you don't need the traditional pressure booster coffee basket, but if you mess something up, the pressure sensor will indicate it. A more precise process, more options for intervention, better quality espresso, especially since it also allows you to adjust the temperature.

Redmi Buds 6 Active Bluetooth earphones - Low budget maximum in price

Advantages of Bluetooth earphones:

  • wind noise filtering
  • very cheap
  • youthful design, four colors
  • not in-ear, but half-ear design
  • huge 14,2mm wide dynamic drivers

Specification

  • Type: half/semi-in-ear
  • Drives: 14,2 mm dynamic
  • Data connection: Bluetooth 5.4
  • TWS: yes
  • Battery time: 24+6 hours
  • Upload speed: 1 hours
  • Delay: in less than 90 ms
  • App: yes
  • Audio transmission coding: SBC/AAC
  • Noise filtering: wind noise and ENC
  • Microphone: 2 piece

Who we recommend it to

Anyone who thinks that basic BT earphones like the Redmi Buds 6 Active - and Vitality, because it has another variant - doesn't offer much for those with little money, is wrong. Quick connection - when the pop-up menu appears with the charge -, app-based settings, surround sound, voice assistant, Redmi Buds 6 Active can do it all. We recommend it to those who are looking for one of the best low budget earphones and do not swear by rubber bell solutions.

Why is it out of stock?

Redmi Buds 6 Active will be the Bluetooth earphones of the masses. It doesn't cover the family budget, but it knows a lot of useful things. There is no ANC, which is understandable, since this is a semi-in-ear solution, i.e. from the side into the ear. Since many people hate rubber bells, it is an ideal choice for them. Its membrane will push huge, deep bass at high volume, which will be necessary, since there is no ear-fitting seal. In return, there is spatial audio, a pop-up with the battery charge, fast connection and automatic device detection, and a decent operating time, which was not reduced by ANC either. Not incidentally, the range and stability of the BT 5.4 are outstanding.

Tronsmart T7 Bluetooth Speaker - Our favorite Coke can

Advantages of the Bluetooth speaker:

  • scatters the sound in a circle
  • the best Tronsmart stuff
  • TWS and TuneConn support, up to 100 units can be connected
  • sometimes it's ridiculously cheap, especially if you buy it in a bundle
  • surprisingly good sound for its size, Soundpulse technology

Specification

  • Performance: 30 W
  • Light source: RGB LED
  • Data connection: BT 5.3
  • TWS: yes
  • Battery time: 12
  • App: yes
  • Equalizer: software
  • Number of membranes: 5 pieces
  • IP standard:IPX7
  • Audio transmission coding: SBC
  • Surround speaker: yes
  • Surround sound: yes
  • DXOMark: N/A

Who we recommend it to

If we could only take home one portable speaker, it would be the Tronsmart T7. Or even more of this type, because 2 units can cooperate as a stereo system in TWS mode, and 100 units can be connected using the TuneConn protocol. Even the previous T6 series was legendary - here is the video where he fell 10 meters and survived -, but the T7 even surpasses this in terms of sound quality with a paddle, and it also scatters the sound in 360 degrees, so it can be heard from any angle. We recommend it to those for whom portability and good sound are most important. Resistant exterior, carrying ear, fancy LED and the feeling of use that you expect from a quality speaker.

Why is it out of stock?

A few years ago, Tronsmart stood out from the crowd by being a real price/value champion, offering good quality, as you don't have to pay for the name. The other is the assembly: you believe that the stuff will be timeless. For example, the way your rotary switch resists turning a bit is something fantastic. It knows a lot of these little things that improve the feeling of quality, and it also sounds pretty nice. Those who like to beat, press the SoundPulse, and the lows will come immediately. Need more power? You connect two, the system is already 60 W. Is the smaller one enough? Then there is the sibling model a T7 Lite, which is also just as good.

Mecool KM2/KM2 Plus Smart TV - Rugged Hardware with Google TV

The advantages of the smart TV:

  • built-in Chromecast screen mirroring and voice assistant

Specification

  • Resolution: 4K, HDR10

  • Smart home integration: by
  • Screen mirroring: by

  • CPU: Amlogic S905X4
  • RAM: 4 GB
  • Disk Arrays: 32 GB
  • GPU: Mali-G31 MP2

Who we recommend it to

Mecool is a veteran in the TV box market. They have always used rather rough hardware and this is no different. Of course, they have soldered "all the world's" ports on it, with which they suppress almost all competitors. In addition, the company is not afraid to integrate the possibilities of its competitors, so they turned the product into a full-fledged Android TV box. We recommend it to those who are looking for something special and need a lot of ports, but don't want to pay as much as the big brands charge for powerful hardware.

Why is it out of stock?

The Mecool KM2 actually covers several devices, there is a plain and a Plus version, of which there are two variants, the rougher one being the Deluxe. Now we will talk about the strongest one, but those who don't want to spend so much should choose the cheaper one, that's good too. The K2 Plus Delux runs Android TV, which means there's a microphone on the remote, a bunch of dedicated buttons for streaming providers, Widevine L1 certification for high-definition streaming, Google Assistant, all kinds of Dolby audio standards, HDR support, WiFi 6, what else can we say? Fullos, just not as big a brand as, say, Nvidia.

Wanbo Mozart 1 Pro Projector - Best projector for Netflix and other streaming services

  • Brightness: 900 ANSI lumen
  • Light source: LED
  • noise level: <35 dB
  • System:AndroidTV
  • Native resolution: 1080p

  • Widevine: L1
  • Life: N/A
  • Projection distance: 135-330 cm
  • Screen Size: 140-305 cm

Who we recommend it to

Wanbo projectors are basically design products with a particularly pleasant appearance and modern hardware. Most of them are also smart and portable, you have to set almost everything on your phone or with the help of the remote control. Basically, we recommend it to those who want to bring home a very modern device and are not fans of many connectors or traditional solutions, but often spin the content of streaming providers.

Why is it out of stock?

At this level, it is already a basic requirement that the Widevine level is L1. This means that the Wanbo Mozart 1 Pro can also display content from, for example, Netflix and other providers in 1080p. It does almost everything automatically, the keystone correction, the focus adjustment, but it also adjusts the image in relation to the objects on the wall. It runs special Android TV 11, which is designed for direct projector use. This will make the system much more livable and the user interface more ergonomic.

Proscenic P11 upright vacuum cleaner - The best-selling crowd favorite

The advantages of a standing vacuum cleaner:

  • removable battery
  • category-leading suction power
  • LED, roller brush motor head
  • it is also available in three types of packaging
  • it also has a mop and pet care set

Specification

  • Performance: 400 W
  • Suction power: 30-35 Pa
  • Running Time: 50-60 minutes
  • Mopping up: yes
  • Floor area for cleaning: N/A
  • Type of brushes: combined
  • Dust container: 0,65 l
  • Water tank: by
  • Self-emptying: none
  • Application: yes
  • No winding: yes
  • Haircut: pet set

Who we recommend it to

The Proscenic P11 is an incredibly popular cheap cordless vacuum cleaner series. I use the plural because it is available in three variants. Long operating time, no-frills, although not very high-quality design, HEPA filter, and such a rough suction power that it almost picks up the tiles. However, its popularity is much more due to the low price and easily combinable accessories, since in some places you could get the product very cheaply. Since the JIGOO C300 is a direct competitor to the cheaper Ultenic vacuum cleaners, we recommend it to those who are looking between them.

Why is it out of stock?

Due to its power anyway, this 35 kPa seemed quite unbelievable at first, but based on the test of the previous sibling model, it seems completely real. However, this is not the Chinese black magic part, but the fact that in addition to the traditional Proscenic P11 upright vacuum cleaner, there is a Mopping variant, which includes a mopping kit, and a pet grooming kit, which can be used to care for small animals. It is important that the Proscenic P11 is not a basic model, it is also a bull, it has an app-controlled, LED head, which is complemented by the pet care set. The design of the Mopping version is a little different, but the point is the same there. From the 3 sets, choose the one that contains the most important functions for you.

Narwal Freo Z Ultra self-emptying robotic vacuum cleaner - The top predator of dust cats

Advantages of the robot vacuum cleaner:

  • carpet detection
  • category-leading suction power
  • It recognizes 120 types of objects
  • he is a real mopping champion with his paws
  • self-generating, can be automated for a long time

Specification

  • Suction power: 12 Pa
  • Running Time: 180 minutes
  • Mapping sensor: LiDAR
  • Liquid based cleaning: scrubbing with slippers
  • Floor area for cleaning: practically infinite
  • Threshold climbing ability 20mm
  • Number of brushes: 2 mops and a roller brush
  • Dust container: 2,5 l
  • Water tank: 5 l
  • Self-emptying: yes

Who we recommend it to

The Narwal Freo Z Ultra is the company's übervacuum, competing with the top Roborock, Dreame and Roidmi products. It knows everything that can be done at the moment, it is a self-draining, mop-up solution with blood, but it also recognizes objects. It has only one big enemy, the shaggy carpet, but it usually works out on all models. On the other hand, buying the Narwal Freo Z Ultra robot vacuum cleaner is quite a pocket-friendly story, so we recommend it to those who want the maximum and have a multi-storey house, because the robot can handle this as well.

Why is it out of stock?

A page could be written about the features of the Narwal Freo Z Ultra. It recognizes one hundred and twenty kinds of objects with its camera, it can push down its mops and rub up dirt, and its swimming brush also picks up animal hair. It has a separate dust and water tank in its vacuuming station, so the monster with a suction power of 120 pascals can be automated for up to 12 days, which is certainly a class-leading value. The funniest extra is the EdgeSwing, that is, it cleans with special movements, so it even wipes down the wall up to a certain height with the help of a special dust-collecting stick.

KuKirin G2 Master - Two KuKirin G2 Max pushed together

Advantages of KuKirin G2 Master:

  • excellent suspension
  • 2×1000 W power
  • not very difficult yet
  • also great in the mountains
  • KuKirin G2 Max with beefier hardware

Specification

  • Crowd33 kg
  • Performance: 2×1000W
  • Torque: 2×26 Nm
  • Engines number: 2 piece
  • Tension: 48 V
  • Battery capacity: 20,8Ah
  • Top speed: approx. 60 km/h
  • Range: 70 kilometers
  • Shock absorption: dual, oily
  • Wheel size: 10 inches
  • Steering column: adjustable
  • Brake: dual disc

Who we recommend it to

We march further up the imaginary electric scooter ladder, but still in the universe of 48 V machines. At the top of this is the KuKirin G2 Master, which is like 2 KuKirin G2 Max scooters pushed together. This is the first scooter on our list that can also be used for mountain climbing, as two motors push 2×1000 W underneath, which can be used to move the vehicle. Fortunately, the basic logic is the same: relatively large wheels, excellent shock absorption, fun off-road tires, not too much weight, realistic price. But all this on the mountain, so we highly recommend the KuKirin G2 Master to those who walk a lot between hills, under gardens and don't need a planet-destroying roller monster.

Why is it out of stock?

The Kukirin G2 Master ate the bread of the G3 Pro a bit, because it is cheaper, its lights are really great, but the price is often lower than the G3 Pro. It also looks good, has a big step, and has an adjustable steering wheel. Actually, somewhere around 2000 W, there is the saying that it moves an average driver with dynamics that do not need much more.

Well, that's not true, because once you realize what it's like to be dragged along by a more powerful, more tightly driven scooter, it's hard to get over the feeling afterwards, but the G2 Master sits on the throne of electric scooters that are not yet capable of suicidal pace and performance. We really like this machine, in fact we recommend it to everyone, just put some street tires on it, and if it ate the first set of brakes, replace the cable system with a hydro one, because it deserves it.

Chefree AFW20 – One of the best double basket hot air ovens

The advantages of the hot air fryer:

  • double basket
  • 8 liter volume
  • touch screen
  • very easy to clean
  • capable of synchronizing oven spaces

Specification

Brand: Chefree
Performance: 2400 W
Tonnage: 2×4 liters
Control: touch screen
Application: yes
Cart: 2 piece
Basket cleaning: dishwasher safe
Spy hole: none
Temperature: 200 °C
Cooking time: 60 minutes

Who we recommend it to

We use a two-basket air fryer on a daily basis, which is no accident, this hot air oven can prepare enough food for 3-4 people, but it is not a huge piece. All of these, like the Chefree AFW20, can be programmed with the help of its touch display, and the oven with an 8-liter oven compartment is also easy to clean. We recommend it to those who do not want to fry the meat and the side dish separately, but would like to complete the work processes at the same time.

Why is it out of stock?

The Chefree AFW20 air fryer is a two-basket fryer. This in itself would not be such an extra, but on the one hand, the topping and side dish can be prepared at the same time, and on the other hand, the oven can also synchronize the finishing. The control here is also touch screen and there are a lot of predefined profiles, so you don't have to think much about how long the food should be inside and at what temperature. You press it, and the hot air oven takes care of things. In addition, there is also a nice app that contains 113 different recipes.

What products to avoid in the Geekbuying range

The formula is relatively simple, there are a few things you shouldn't buy: CN version phones and tablets, because they usually lack Google apps. What they are not very strong in is a hobby, garden, shoes, clothes and their additional categories, but you can get them either on Aliexpress or in one of the countless online clothing stores. Never buy motorcycle or scooter protective equipment from a Chinese webshop! No one knows exactly what standard they meet and it is practically untraceable. So, elbow and knee pads, body armor, crash helmets do not play about Geekbuying.

Everything you need to know about Geekbuying

Geekbuying is a website founded in 2012, so this year it celebrated its 12th birthday. Geekbuying is a Chinese online retail platform that offers a variety of electronics products, smart home devices, electric vehicles, smart devices and other consumer goods worldwide. Behind Geekbuying is the Shenzhen Globalegrow E-commerce Co., Ltd. is an e-commerce company based in China. Globalegrow is a major player in the online retail sector and operates several e-commerce platforms, including Geekbuying.

Source: Vstat screenshot

The exact size of Geekbuying can best be described with an image, a 1,6 million monthly visitors and 5 million page views a pretty decent number, but it falls short of Banggood's 6,25 million visitors and 24 million page views, not to mention Aliexpress. We will return to the reasons for this later, for now it is enough for you to know that the narrower range of products is the reason, not the lower quality. Not so much that it can be considered relatively independent Trustpilot He rated the website 4,3 stars based on 15 reviews, of which 674% were 73-star reviews.

Source: Trustpilot screenshot

Interestingly, the review on the Geekbuying site is not as popular as on other platforms, you can occasionally run into hundreds of text feedback, but regardless of what is there, you should read it to get a more complete picture of their services.

Source: Geekbuying

Similar to Banggood to Geekbuying it also has no physical stores, they conduct their activities 100% online. Their main strength is that you will find almost everything in the EU warehouse, so the products arrive in 3-7 days, even if they are large and heavy, and in most cases with free shipping, which is almost unimaginable domestically these days, is realized with a maximum order of a significant amount. Geekbuying has them warehouses:

  • in Spain (ES)
  • in Poland (PL)
  • in Germany (DE)
  • in Italy (IT)
  • in the Czech Republic (CZ)
  • in Ireland (IL)
  • in the Netherlands (NL)
  • in France (FR)

And of course not as an EU warehouse:

  • in China (CN)
  • in England (UK)
  • in Hong Kong (HK)
  • in Japan (JP)
  • in Canada (CA)
  • in Brazil (BR)
  • in Mexico (MX)
  • in Australia (AU)
  • The United States (US)

You will never come across most of them - not all of them list products - in the vast majority of cases PL, DE, CZ they deliver to our country from warehouses. There is also one Europe-X also a general name for warehouses, where X denotes the warehouse number. It has no particular significance, the only thing worth knowing is that these are all warehouses within the EU, so packages will arrive quickly from them as well. Geekbuying markets all products under its own name, like Bangood, unlike Aliexpress, where you actually buy the goods from different stores.

Source: Geekbuying

Another point of interest is that Geekbuying had a logo change a few years ago, the older visual elements were a bit eclectic. You can see the old logo above and the new, cleaner logo below.

Source: Geekbuying

It's worth mentioning that Geekbuying also tried own-brand products, which we don't think really worked, these things simply didn't spread. Geekbuying owns:

  • Sounarc speaker brand, the Sounarc K1 we also tested their product

We don't want to talk much about it, because it doesn't weigh much, but it is possible that other brands are also owned by the company. Basically, the competitors are better, so you won't go to Geekbuying because of Sounarc, but because low prices and fast delivery because of!

Geekmaxi

However, before you dive into registration, it is worth mentioning that there is a very serious connection between Geekbuying and Geekmaxi, which we filtered during communication and joint work with our partners. The ownership is not completely clear, but it is likely that Geekmaxi is the pocket web store of Geekbuying.

The Geekmaxi is an online trading platform based in China, which was founded in 2017 and focuses primarily on the European market. Geekmaxi has close relationships with several popular Chinese brands and offers drones, electric vehicles (such as electric scooters and bicycles), robotic vacuum cleaners, 3D printers, smart home devices, and various tech accessories.

The focus on the European market was probably overturned after 2021, when the official fees had to be paid for every package arriving in the EU, at which time Geekbuying started stocking the products in its European warehouses. Thus, Geekmaxi's and Geekbuying's inventory essentially overlapped with each other.

Lesson learned: if there is something on Geekmax, it is worth checking it on Geekbuyingos to see if the conditions are better there or the delivery is cheaper.

Geekbuying registration and purchase process

Let's start getting to know Geekbuying by registering on the site, which is very similar to what you may encounter elsewhere. There is also a "new user" discount here, so those who already have an account should also do this on Geekbuying, because that's the only way they go the extra coins. You also get bonuses for subscribing to the newsletter, which you could do in a pop-up window after pressing the hidden menu on the side.

Source: Geekbuying screenshot

The registration process is very simple, right above the "Sign in/Create Account ” button, then enter the email address and password in the pop-up window and you are ready. Of course, there is also a Single Sign-On option, which means that you can enter the Geekbuying interface with the Google, Apple and X interfaces within the framework of a simplified registration.

Source: Geekbuying screenshot

Tick the usual I accept the terms of use - Terms of Use and Privacy Policy - or grab Geekbuying's G-coins for the reg.

Source: Geekbuying screenshot

After that, you will receive a confirmation email in which you must confirm the registration of your Geekbuying account, and the process is complete, you can start browsing the site.

Source: Geekbuying screenshot

Compared to Banggood, you will be greeted by a simpler and cleaner interface, the usual one profile, address and similar settings, you should add at least one mailing address here, but you can do this later, in the shopping cart. As the basic unit of Geekbuying's own bonus system, the G-coin - shockingly, this is the abbreviation of Geekbuying coin - and it is here My Orders menu where you can see your orders, as well as Wishlist, where the saved products go.

The million dollar question is what the coins can be used for. See the coupons section below, as you should make some other settings before purchasing!

Source: Geekbuying screenshot

After registration, the first thing you should do is to set which page should be loaded, the shipping country, language and currency. For practical reasons, thisGlobal/Hungary/English(EN)/USD $” values, which you could do at the top right, to the left of the basket.

Source: Geekbuying screenshot

Detailing the four parameters:

  • Websites, that is, which sub-site you use – Global: there are actually only two options, global and German, leave global.
  • The destination country of the delivery – Hungary: the product will arrive here. The destination country is an important piece of information for Geekbuying, as the system determines which products can be delivered to the given location, from which warehouse, and at what cost (the delivery is often free, i.e. the product is labeled "free shipping").
  • Language setting – English: the Geekbuying website is also available in Hungarian, but the translation is automatic, which may be inaccurate or faulty in some places. If you know English, it is worth using the site in English, you can read why in the chapter below.
  • Currency – USD: it is worth choosing this, because in this way, the currency conversion is carried out by the bank, not the webshop, which will mean a significant difference in the total amount. It is also easier to follow the prices in dollars, because the dollar is less volatile - it changes more slowly - than the forint, so it is easier to see whether it is a real sale.

Geekbuying in Hungarian

Unfortunately, the use of foreign languages is still a problem in Hungary, which in many cases is the biggest barrier to people using foreign websites. That is why it is often expected that the website should be in Hungarian, and the online stores fulfill this requirement, but you will have the best experience if you use the pages in English - or perhaps in German. The reason for this is that the generally accepted medium of communication is English, while the German market is so large that in many cases companies deal with culturally providing content in this language as well.

Source: Geekbuying screenshot

This is not the case with Hungarian, which consists of nothing but automatic translation, which, based on the complexity of our mother tongue, gives rise to funny situations. In general, the conjugation is bad, there are many mistranslations - one of our favorites is the translation of cutting edge technology - which can sometimes confuse even native speakers.

For the Hungarian language a https://hu.Geekbuying.com/ page, but selecting the Hungarian language in the language selector will automatically navigate here, you don't even need to enter this separately. There is a funny error on the page that only appears in Hungarian: the size of the buttons is fixed and does not follow text lengths that change due to the English/Hungarian language change. It is not worth switching to Hungarian for this reason alone.

Another misunderstanding is that if you use something in Hungarian, you must necessarily change the currency to HUF, i.e. Hungarian forint. Don't do that because the prices are basically indicated in USD by the online stores, and in this case a currency exchange transaction will be executed in the background, which will charge your card. If HUF is the default setting, the USD-HUF conversion will be performed by the online store, obviously at higher costs than your own bank - for example Revolut or other service providers, such as Wise, provide a more favorable exchange rate - he would do this.

Source: Geekbuying screenshot

There is also a Hungarian aspect to Geekbuying, as they used to have a Hungarian warehouse. You can achieve this by: https://www.geekbuying.com/warehouse/hu/ at the end of the link, write the two-letter code of the appropriate warehouse. Hungarian is "hu", while for example German is "de". Another issue is that it doesn't have any products. This also gives the possibility that Geekbuying will upload it later, and if you order from here you will receive the package from within the country, which will enable even faster delivery.

All in all, we can say that the Geekbuying website is in Hungarian and you can pay in HUF, but it is not worth using the site that way. The use of the Hungarian language can lead to strange mistranslations, and the use of the HUF currency can lead to additional costs.

Payment on Geekbuying

You can choose from several payment options in the shopping cart - for example, bank card, PayPal, Google Pay, etc. - but for security reasons we recommend PayPal, which is discussed in more detail in Order China in FAQ you can read. It is important not to let the webshop or PayPal decide the currency of the payment, because they usually exchange at a higher rate than the financial institutions, as we wrote before.

Source: Geekbuying screenshot

If you have found the product you want to buy on the Geekbuying page, add it to the cart, as you normally do with other webshops. It's worth taking a look at the product page, because on the one hand, it helps you find your way around, and on the other hand, there are a few things that you should be aware of. What you should pay attention to:

  • Price: by definition, for the price, on the product page you see the basic price - that is, without coupons, points, G-coins and everything like that. If there is a Flash Deal on it, the system also shows it on the product page, you can read more about this in the tips and tricks section.
  • Ship From: the warehouse from which the product arrives. This is always indicated by an abbreviation, but in most cases you will see the designation Europe-X if it is from the EU, and the designation China-X if the gadget comes from a Chinese warehouse.
  • Shipping: the shipping fee, on Geekbuying almost always a The inscription Free shipping is visible, in this case the delivery is free, otherwise you will see a number here, in dollars.
  • Buy Now and Add to Cart: the difference between the two is that with the former you get straight to the page summarizing the order, with the latter the system only puts the product in the basket, but lets you continue browsing the page.
  • Description: product description and press materials. It is often worth reading this instead of the text specification, because we have already encountered countless typos there.
  • Reviews and Q&A: the former is useful, especially if it was committed by a compatriot, and there is also an image evaluation, the latter section is practically the same as on Banggood, that is, it is not good for much

Jump into the basket, at the top right, with the shopping cart icon. Once you have done this, you should see the contents of the basket, which consists of the following:

  • the products included and their price
  • from which warehouse it is delivered
  • the total
  • two buttons that take you to payment

Source: Geekbuying screenshot

The difference between the two payment buttons is that one redirects you directly to the PayPal page, while the other - Proceed to Checkout - goes to a checkout page. It is always worth choosing the latter. Why? Because:

  • you can set an address here, if you haven't done so before
  • coupons you can use it
  • G-coins you can use it
  • they could tie shipping insurance, i.e. transport insurance and you can use the EU Local Return Service
  • you can choose a different payment options of

Let's talk about the above in a little more depth, because you can do quite a lot on the Geekbuying site, and it doesn't matter at all financially which one you choose.

Geekbuying coupons, flash deal, promotion, G-coin

Geekbuying offers several ways to reduce prices. There is a coupon for most products or product categories, which the my account/my coupons menu item, but it is much easier to pay attention to the RendeljKínait page, because on the one hand we include them in our content, and on the other hand we discuss them in a separate article on the occasion of consumer holidays. The special feature of Geekbuying coupons is that:

  • you can get them during events
  • with different activities
  • but you could NOT buy from the points like on Banggood

The coupon must always be entered in the "Coupon" field after pressing the "Proceed to Checkout" button in the cart, therefore you must not navigate to the PayPal page immediately. If something falls under a "Flash Deal", it is often not possible to use G-coins for it.

On the RendeljKinait page a in the coupons menu item you could also search for coupons under the Geekbuying tab.

Source: Geekbuying screenshot

What you should know about G-coins is that they are generated after purchases on Geekbuying, the conversion ratio is 100:1, that is, you get 100 G-coin for every 1 USD spent, so this will be one of the main sources of coin farming. Why are there still coins? For the following:

  • registration
  • newsletter subscription
  • for downloading the application
  • for participating in various events (e.g. writing feedback, participating in promotions, etc.)

There is a pretty strong filter rule for G-coins: they can only be used on orders over $30. However, the main problem is not this, but that they cannot always be used in the case of "Flash Deal", i.e. flash priced products, and almost everything is flash priced. Thus, our own experience is that messing with G-coins is almost unnecessary, it will not provide the big price advantage, but from the base low price AND a coupon, which can be applied to this. By the way, the picture below shows a Tronsmart Bang Mini, which we were able to easily put the coupon on, even though it is also a lightning-priced product, while the G-coin section at the bottom left is not available.

Source: Geekbuying screenshot

Things to note: the Flash Deal is hitting the G-coin, but not the coupon, so the best combination is: Flash Deal+coupon.

Payment for Geekbuying products

Payment is the key moment of the purchase. Why is it worth discussing separately? Not because it would be complicated or deceptive, but because there are several options:

  • credit card payment: this is the default option in most places, but we do not recommend its use, as it is more difficult to assert your interests in case of problems. If you do choose this, it is worth using an online card that can be blocked or destroyed immediately after purchase. It can be useful if there is a spending limit, this service is provided by Revolut and Wise, but other fintech providers also offer such solutions. In relation to such questions, we have created one Facebook group, where you can find more information.
  • PayPal: We recommend this payment method because safe, provides many customer rights, and gives you the option of a refund, if the product does not arrive or is defective. In addition, it is not necessary to enter your bank card details, as PayPal hides them. Pay attention to one thing: don't let PayPal do the currency conversion, because it does so at a higher cost than banks. We wrote about this in detail in Information/FAQ menu item on our website.

If you remember only one thing from the above, it should be this: pay with PayPal.

Package tracking on Geekbuying

You bought the desired product on Geekbuying, so tracking the package is a legitimate claim. Today, almost every package comes with a tracking number, in English tracking number. Its format can be many, but often something like this: 13289301518407 vagy CG337397402DE, the format usually depends on the delivery company. This data is Orders/My Orders menu item, each item is one Order No., meaning order number.

Source: Geekbuying screenshot

The details are under the Details tab, but Geekbuying does not have its own package tracking service, but instead redirects to the well-known 17Track service provider. That is, overall, you have two options for follow-up:

  • Order China page, if you press the small tool icon on the right, our package tracking integration will appear
  • 17Track page, you can also enter the tracking number

The "why hasn't my package started yet?" the answer is that packages go through several status changes from payment to actual dispatch. First the "payment processed” status is displayed, which means that the seller has received and processed the payment. Then the package "pending” status, and then other statuses may appear. Delivery actually begins when the “shipped” status becomes visible. From this point on, the arrival of the package depends on the delivery company - not the online store - so in the event of a delay, the store should not (only) be blamed.

Is Geekbuying a reliable site? What problems can arise?

Geekbuying in general a reliable website it matters, we have ordered from them many times and only rarely have there been problems. It is important that you pay with PayPal, because it means an additional layer of security. A PayPal account is worth one can be disabled to associate a virtual bank card, which, for example, Revolut, Wise or similar service providers.

Of course, as in the case of all webshops, errors and anomalies may occur here as well.

One such thing is a Geekbuying's rating system, operated by the site itself and not by an independent provider such as Trustpilot. Users get G-coins for reviews, which makes them interested in taking advantage of the opportunity anyway, which is why they tend to give 5 stars, mostly without long-term use or simply trying it out. Thanks to this, almost every product on Geekbuying receives a high rating. Unlike Bangood, the problem here is that there are few reviews, presumably due to less traffic. You can do this by reading tests and using some forums, for this we have our Facebook page and our FB group.

I mentioned the Trustpilot review earlier, where Banggood has 46 stars based on 958 reviews, 3,5% of which were 67 stars, while Geekbuying has 5 stars based on 4,3 reviews, 15% of which are 674 stars. Overall, our experience is that Geekbuying's customer service is more responsive and flexible than Banggood's than its own, and the cases are usually dealt with faster than the competitor, but overall there is no such big complaint about either of them.

The other detail worth mentioning is a Geekbuying's Q&A section, which we do not consider very useful, because meaningful answers are rarely found there, just like in the case of Banggood. Here, too, we feel that this same function was included in the motor, but the dog does not use it, and not necessarily because it would not be possible to write meaningful answers here. Simply, on such platforms, for some reason, this option is not popular.

overselling problems - when the online store accepts orders in excess of stock - they are less typical of Geekbuying than of many Chinese stores, but they do occur sometimes, especially during major shopping holidays. Most of the year this is not a problem, but when it happens, many people are dissatisfied because of it, but those who receive their package are silent, because of this you may develop the false feeling that "everything is going wrong again". If for some reason they are out of stock, but you have already placed the order, they will simply refund the price, and if you are clever, you can even get new coupons from the customer service.

However, since almost all products are in EU warehouses, Geekbuying usually stocks well in advance, mainly because orders still make sense until December 15th From an EU warehouse, since the goods often arrive before Christmas. This is not scripture, but we have not come across such an example.

For the delivery time, the “pending” status can be a problem when Geekbuying is unable to process the increased number of orders quickly, especially during holiday periods. In such cases, a warning is usually posted on the site, but many people do not read it. The release of the "pending" status can be delayed for several reasons (assumptions, because they usually do not provide precise information):

  • orders are not being processed quickly enough due to overload,
  • maybe they are out of stock and trying to get new merchandise.

So it's worth being patient, and if necessary, there's PayPal protection. We have to emphasize once again that this problem is common to all Chinese webshops, but Geekbuying, which has plenty of EU warehouses, and Geekmaxi under its umbrella, are the most protected from this. Since the Reflekt on our partner page, we typically work with non-Chinese brands and partners, so we know that the same can happen in our country, in the middle of the big festive rush, so we can't even say that it's a Chinese-specific problem.

All these inconveniences affect a small part of the orders, but it is important to emphasize that even a single bad experience can destroy trust, which can only be compensated by many successful positive experiences.

If you run into some kind of anomaly, feel free to write to us, we will try to help, because it usually puts some pressure on you if we intervene in the matter.

How does Geekbuying strengthen customer trust?

Interestingly, our experience is that Geekbuying does not make a big deal about its various warranty and other services, even though it has quite a few that On this link they could reach. Details of each item:

  • DOA, Dead On Arrival: regarding bad products, you must contact Geekbuying within 7 days and they will resend the product or reimburse the costs.
  • Missing item, wrong item: the product was received incorrectly or incompletely. Similar to the previous ones, they either send the problematic part or reimburse the costs. They used to ask for pictures and videos of the incident.
  • Disliked item: if you are not satisfied with the product - and it is still in mint condition - you can return it, but you will have to bear the cost of returning it.
  • One year repair warranty: i.e. 1-year repair guarantee. We also had personal experience with this, see below.

You can read the details in the link above. Our personal experience is that the 1-year repair service works really well, although not very quickly. One Hebrew G3 we had a problem with a grinder, which took approx. It stopped after 1 month. There was a domestic service center that handled the inspection, and Geekbuying sent another, completely new one, free of charge, in a short time.

As for the "Disliked item" service, the "Local Return Service" service can be connected to the return, which makes this a lot easier, because the product can be returned to a nearby EU warehouse, and it usually costs a few dollars, see below.

What about online scams?

The section below is a From the Banggood web store we took it one-on-one from our professional head expander, because we can't emphasize enough what it's like education and dispelling misconceptions are important. That's why here is the extract, which is meant to clarify misunderstandings about online fraud!

"We still get countless times that people don't order from a Chinese online store because there is definitely a scam and fraud behind it. This is usually due to lack of information, that's why we want to elaborate a little on this topic, because a lot of people suffer from all kinds of conceptual confusion about it.

Typically, online fraud is not done by running an online store for 10 years and then not sending a product to dupe the dear consumer, as that would be quite complicated. Online fraud is more likely to be carried out in the following way:

  • Facebook Marketplace and Jófogs fraud, about this we wrote on our partner site
  • E-mailed spam links in the form of
  • SMS, for example with a message to pick up your package somewhere, to which you need to press the link received in the SMS (this is also a type of link-based fraud)
  • a form of link fraud that enter your bank card details on an interface
  • they call you with an unknown phone number, and if you pick up, you either paid for a premium service without your knowledge or activated an unwanted, paid service

In principle, Geekbuying's database could also be hacked and bank card data extracted from it, but the fraud methods mentioned in the list are several orders of magnitude easier to implement and they only partially fall within the scope of online purchases.

Despite this, the dangers of online shopping should not be underestimated, as, for example, your bank card data may be leaked, but it is relatively easy to protect against it. Do the following:

  • register with one of the free Fintech service providers, what is the Revolutwe use
  • just put enough money on it - top up -, as much as is necessary for the purchase
  • Revolut's virtual bank cards: they can be disabled, a purchase limit can be set for them, they can be deleted, the one-time-payment types are destroyed by themselves
  • data of Revolut bank cards put it in a PayPal account, which withholds the amount until the transaction is successfully completed, pay in Hungarian on Geekbuying (also) with Paypal

Those who comply with the above shouldn't have much trouble, we've been buying from Chinese online stores for ten years and we've never had any problems."

What products does Geekbuying sell?

Geekbuying does not have as wide a selection of products as Aliexpress or Banggood, of course, with more than 70 products, it cannot be said that it is not enough. However, their offer is much more concentrated than that of their counterparts, which is good in some ways, not so much in other ways. You have to accept that some products are not worth looking for on Geekbuying, instead you can choose from the following categories, where the selection is really wide:

Many of you may notice that there is no clothing, shoes and accessories section, lighting and the like. Geekbuying deliberately keeps the offer narrower than its competitors, rather focusing on certain categories where it can sell products at a better price and serve customers faster. This last clause is especially true because almost all the more expensive goods come from EU warehouses.

We highlight a few examples based on our own experience, which are usually the cheapest here and in which Geekbuying is traditionally strong:

  • mini PCs: first of all, the online store has a pretty rough selection, and secondly, the mini PCs are surprisingly cheap in some places, compared to what they are capable of
  • takaríto eszközök: we have already bought several robot and standing vacuum cleaners from here, the range is wide and the prices are generally low, sometimes it even beats the prices of Singles Day Aliexpress (and they are almost always the best)
  • notebooks: Ninkear and N-One products are worth looking at, they are much cheaper than Western competitors
  • tablets: a small million tablets are sold, strong for example in Alldocube, Teclast, N-One
  • monitors: the products of the KTC brand are worth checking out
  • coffee makers and grinders: we used to go through HiBREW's offer in this matter
  • electrically adjustable tables: colleagues have three ACGAM tables and they do their job excellently and are available much cheaper than at home

As you can see, almost all of them are products belonging to categories close to consumer electronics or computer technology, Geekbuying is really strong in these.

Does shipping and return insurance make sense?

Shipping insurance is a service that provides protection against damage to products during transport. Geekbuying will only compensate for such damages if I take out transport insurance, but unlike, for example, Banggood, this option is not checked automatically by the system, but you have to select it. In our experience most devices are protected by double packaging, so they are less vulnerable, and PayPal often provides help in these cases as well, but their previous service of reimbursing return shipping costs has ceased, so shipping insurance is not an option at all.

Source: Geekbuying screenshot

There are devices that worth using this insurance, mainly the for high-value, hard-to-pack items such as electric scooters and bicycles. They are packed disassembled, and because of this, the axle of the separate wheel can damage the frame, which, although the bike remains usable, reduces its value, and a battered two-wheeler will certainly be more difficult to sell later. We've seen a lot of these types of damage, and shipping insurance provides good protection against them. The prices in our articles are understood without shipping insurance or other services, as these are extra options that must be ordered separately.

At Geekbuying, not only shipping, but extra return service - EU Local Return Service - can also be requested, but not for all devices. The service is usually available for products that would otherwise be problematic to return. These are typically large and heavy items such as electric scooters and bicycles. In this case, you have to consider whether the Hungarian service providers offer the same at a lower or higher price than Geekbuying's service fee, and then you have to run a round with a second courier company in order to settle the matter.

Just one sentence about the customs insurance: in 2021, it became obsolete, so it has been discontinued, the sellers are already sorting out these types of items through the IOSS system, so this is no longer necessary. Geekbuying would not be affected anyway, because most products are available from EU warehouses, so apart from shipping and the above extras, you do not have to account for any other additional costs.

The bottom line is that the products ordered from Geekbuying arrive at no extra cost, you only have to pay for the delivery.

Geekbuying's competitors

Among Chinese online stores, Geekbuying has quite a few opponents, even though a good number of online stores have dropped out in the last couple of years. Such was Hekka, DealExtreme, TinyDeal or Gearbest. Aliexpress is not a direct opponent of Geekbuying, as it is more of a marketplace where stores compete for your favors, but since there is a lot of overlap in the product range, users naturally look around there too if they want to buy something. Based on these, the competitors:

  • AliExpress: largest selection, very low prices, but sometimes you have to mess around a lot with the various coupons and coins
  • Banggood: Banggood's product range almost completely covers that of Geekbuying, and even offers more in the sense that Banggood own-brand products are only available there
  • Geekmaxiin-house adversary, probably owned by Geekbuying
  • Tomtop: similar selection, but usually Geekbuying is cheaper
  • Cafagonarrow selection of products, but good prices and usually no need to mess with coupons
  • G-shopper: perhaps Gshopper is the most similar online store to Geekbuying, but they are also strong in phones
  • Ranvee: up-and-coming online store, for now with a limited selection, but low prices

The above statements may of course vary from action to action, and should not be considered scripture.

Geekbuying tips and tricks

In connection with Geekbuying, we have already mentioned that most things usually get the Flash Deal, otherwise known as the flash price tag. This is a completely general marking, it cannot be called special, it is on most products by default. This will apparently make the products cheaper, but in fact it is only good for attracting the customer's attention and in some cases negating the G-coins, because in such cases they cannot be placed on the product.

What Geekbuying is really strong in are cleaning tools. They sell a lot of types, the selection is very wide, but not all of them have supplies. Therefore, always check that something like this is available on Geekbuying, if not, then look around the internet to see if it is available from another source.

They are very cheap on Geekbuying electrically adjustable tables. At the time, we also wrote two articles about them, which here and here are available. We watched countless competing models live and ACGAM's products were by far the best value for money. On the other hand, it is not worth ordering a table top from them, because it is not certain that it will be in a color that suits you, and usually the same quality is available at a similar price here. The cheapest solution is to buy the cheapest one at IKEA LAG CAPTAIN table top.

You should also look at the mini PC section. For some reason, the cheapest hardware is sold in this format, sometimes you can find quite cheap stuff, but they also need a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

Filament 3D printers and the accompanying accessories should not be left out either. They sell a lot of FDM stuff, you should look for FlashForge, Qidi Tech and similar names, moreover, the filaments are usually very cheap in bundles. It's worth ordering Creality Hyper PLA and similar fast-printable materials from Geekbuying.

Geekbuying has its own phone application, which you should download if you want to do things on your mobile. Almost all Chinese online stores reward the use of their own app in some way, but the interface of the app does not differ that much from the website. There is only one thing that you can use: the app focuses on the region where you are, that is, it converts my currency to HUF by default. We have already written a lot about why this is a problem, or at least how it causes additional costs. Therefore, reset the currency from HUF to USD, which you can do in the account/settings menu (small gear on the top right), in the Currency line.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Geekbuying a reliable online store?

Yes, it is especially important among Chinese sites. This is also confirmed by our personal experiences, as well as by Trustpilot, where the number of reviews, the distribution, and why someone gave 5 or 1 star are worth looking at. The average rated the website 4,3 stars based on 15 reviews, of which 674% were 73-star ratings.

How can I track the ordered products?

Geekbuying does not have its own tracking system, but if the package is tracked, the online store will provide a tracking number. This on the RendeljKinait page, by clicking on the tool icon on the right you have to copy it into a pop-up package tracking tool. And if you want a general tracking page, then a 17track this is the best solution.

How long does it take for packages to arrive from Geekbuying?

A delivery time starts after the pending status is set, and it lasts until you receive the package from the courier. The problem with many sites is that the package is "pending" for a long time, so it does not reach the shipped status, this is the fault of the online store. As soon as the delivery company received the package, so when it will be shipped, from then on it is up to them to deliver the package to its destination.

Typically, there is a problem with these when:

  • the packages come from a non-EU warehouse
  • if online stores and courier companies are very busy (e.g. around Christmas)

Since most products come from EU warehouses, delivery usually takes 3-7 days, but more than once we have received packages in less than 3 days. From China, 10-12 days if arriving by plane, 30-45 days if arriving by ship. Typically, something is sent by ship if it is big, heavy, or full of batteries, such as electric scooters and bicycles. These are especially worth ordering from EU warehouses.

How should I complain and what can I expect?

Usually product-related errors Geekbuying must be notified within 7 days. The company resends faulty performance or missing parts, a more interesting situation is if the product is bad, in which case several solutions can be considered. Refund, or resend or repair the product.

We describe a specific case that we experienced, which happened with the HiBREW G3 coffee grinder. We ordered two products, one of them broke 1 month after purchase. Geekbuying asked us to mail the defective grinder to the service in Hungary, and then they sent a completely new one from their own EU warehouse and reimbursed the shipping cost. In our opinion, this is quite convincing, although it took 1-2 weeks to manage the matter.

Of course, it is also true here always pay with PayPal, it adds an extra layer of security.

What is shipping insurance good for?

The shipping insurance is good so that if the product is damaged during shipping, Geekbuying will cover the costs of the damage.

How do you compensate Geekbuying if the package is damaged or lost?

If it goes missing, they will usually resend the package or refund 100% of the purchase price, if it is damaged and you have transport insurance, then the extent of the damage is decisive. If you don't have shipping insurance, Geekbuying won't compensate you, rightfully so.

Is Geekbuying in Hungarian?

By default, no, but there is a Hungarian language, but it is not worth using, because the page is automatically translated, I am more familiar with the English language.

Is it possible to pay in HUF at Geekbuying?

You can set the currency at the top right, so the answer is that it is possible, but it is not worth choosing anything other than USD, because then the website will convert the currencies. You are much better off leaving this to your bank or fintech provider, as this is usually the cheapest solution.

What additional costs can I expect after the ordered packages? Do you have to customs them?

Let's separate the two things, since additional costs can arise not only from the fact that an ordered package is subject to a customs procedure. Cost can be:

  • transport, but in most cases it is free (except for large and heavy items)
  • shipping insurance
  • return insurance

The latter two are not mandatory, they are only options, but as we wrote above, they come in handy in many cases.

Most of the products available on Geekbuying come from EU warehouses, so they have already gone through the customs procedure. If it comes from a non-EU warehouse, which is a small part of the cases, then Geekbuying can pay VAT through the IOSS system, and if there is a customs duty - but in most cases there isn't - then that too.

In the basket, you can always see which product is in which warehouse, at the top left Ship from: can be seen in part Although Geekbuying does not indicate separately, VAT has already been calculated in the price, other websites usually indicate this with the inscription "VAT included".

What does it mean that the product is in an EU warehouse?

One of the biggest advantages of Geekbuying is that the products are stored in an EU warehouse in advance. In practice, this looks like this: when the product arrives at the border of the European Union, the sender must pay the costs imposed by the authorities, which can be done through two systems, FAQ section in the Import costs section we wrote.

The bottom line is that the additional costs have already been paid for the products in the EU warehouse. In other words, when you put one of these in the basket, it will no longer be charged with customs, VAT or the cost of the customs procedure. In fact, companies build this into the price, but the point is that you don't have to deal with these anymore.

Do I have to return the package for warranty administration?

There are basically three ways to manage the warranty:

  • You will receive compensation in some form - money or Geekbuying points, if the complaint is justified -.
  • You repair the product at home, and then Geekbuying reimburses the cost of this.
  • You must return the product to the warehouse from which you received the package.

Where can the coupons be collected?

There are two ways, either on the Geekbuying page, during the campaigns - then they will appear under the My coupons menu item - or you can monitor the RendeljKínait page, since we also publish them. There are often coupons for various activities, in the past there were wheel-of-fortune spinning games, and similar ones, which can also throw coupons.

We do not claim that hunting them is not difficult, because it is, but we will take over this task from you. This is exactly why we usually create a coupon request post on our Facebook page during the shopping holidays, and we also have a Facebook group where you can ask questions. You can access them here:

Not incidentally, we also have a coupon search service on the website, which I got here.

Which company delivers the packages?

It is not possible to say in advance which courier company will deliver the package. Those of lower value may be sent to a parcel point, for example Foxpost, while higher value products or products from EU warehouses are usually delivered by ExpressOne, DPD or DHL.

Does Geekbuying have an app?

Yes there is, it's available for both Android and iOS. The app also offers extra deals and coupons. The most important thing you need to change is the currency, because the application defaults to HUF. This is it accounts/settings under the currency you can do it in a row.
