We ordered our very first Chinese gadgets roughly 10 years ago from China, or rather from the AliExpress online store. Over the course of a decade, almost everything that can happen during a single sub-order has happened to us. Our package was lost, we received another one, we received something different instead of the ordered product, we "bought" several shoes for free, we ran into a counterfeit product, which in the end turned out to be original and could still be listed. We can give you countless tips and tricks - Did you know, for example, that you can list the cheapest products based on a picture? -, we have already couponed several products down to the yellow earth, and we have also used a promo code aimed only at Hungarians through the platform.
Although we have previously written an exhaustive collection of articles about AliExpress ordering - which I found it here and for the most part it is correct to this day - but we last updated it a couple of years ago - but we are already working on it - so now we are presenting a monstrous AliExpress guide, which will hopefully answer all your questions. We also wink at competing platforms such as Temu, Sinsay, Ebay and Vinted. If something has been left out and you still have unanswered questions, write us an email or enter the 33 member to our Facebook group, where one of the main topics is usually the AliExpress order, plus you can get great tips on lowering prices!

Order AliExpress - These are the best AliExpress products (2025)
The products and categories on our list have been selected based on the following experiences:
- In 10 years, we have processed thousands of orders on AliExpress
- Our partner was several AliExpress sellers
- On a daily basis, we use a lot of everything that we bought from the Aliexpress platform
- We have tested countless products that are available on the AliExpress platform
- Based on opinions read in various forums and special groups
Who we recommend it to
Although Li-Ning's running shoes are the most famous, Anta, Peak, 360 degrees, Onemix and Xiaomi brands also produce good running shoes. We've tested countless Li-Nings - we have a colleague who has 10 pairs at home and runs half-marathons in them - and we've replaced practically all Western brands with them. Basically, we recommend it to those who want to buy excellent footwear at half or a third price. The spectrum is very wide, from 5 km to marathon shoes, there are all kinds of models on offer.
Why is it out of stock?
If we had to single out one brand from the crowd, it would be Li-Ning. These are very durable - they can be used for more than 1000 km -, they have excellent support, and are difficult to amortize, in countless colors and sizes. At one time, they were so cheap that we even wore their more comfortable models on the street. There are also indoor sports - table tennis, badminton, etc. – their fictional models. The Kawasaki shoe brand is part of Li-Ning's sphere of interest, which is also worth a look.

The Chinese are a paradise for copying, but pay close attention to a few things:
- Even years ago, the models of the LEGO company started to be knocked off, they should not be bought.
- Their unique sets are no longer thrown out at customs, because these are products coming under their own name.
- It is worth checking whether the building blocks and other elements are really compatible with LEGO products.
Who we recommend it to
Mold King, Xiaomi, CaDa, JMBricklayer, Sembo, Cobi, Lepin, Guly, Jiestar, just to name a few big names among the companies producing building block sets. These are now high-quality, LEGO-compatible – but not LEGO – products, with countless packages for both children and adults. Basically, we recommend it to those who want cheap quality games that develop logic and manual skills. It is a good choice not only for children, but also for adults, and can even be given as a gift.
Why is it out of stock?
CaDa has the best sets, but the range is so brutal that it's amazing. The Chinese have improved a lot in the last couple of years, the elements now fit together nicely, they are not tight, but they don't sag either, the overall mechanical effect is good. In addition, they produce a lot of their own elements, so you can no longer put together copy LEGO sets, but also have their own unique stuff, which are mostly LEGO compatible. And the pricing is more than friendly.

We wrote one on the subject of heated vests and other items of clothing exhausting head expander, and we mentioned a few things there too, but you should pay attention to them:
- The Chinese are not very strong in scaling. It is quite possible that a vest is 2 sizes smaller than what you need. Solution: measure your own clothes and choose based on the values given in centimeters.
- It is also worth looking at the lined inner garments, and here it is especially true that you have to look at the image reviews.
Who we recommend it to
We use heated clothing for quite a lot of sports, but things like this came in handy even during the overhead costs. In fact, all they need is a power bank and the heating is ready to go. Look for pieces that have some kind of lining or thermal material inside. Basically, we recommend it to those who are colder than average and want to solve this problem cheaply and simply. It can also be incorporated into layered clothing, as you can put on almost anything.
Why is it out of stock?
On the one hand, because of the price, but this shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone in relation to AliExpress. On the other hand, because such garments can be used in many ways, and their control rivals the complexity of an iron ball. In addition, you can buy them in countless packages and with a heating panel. The more perverse can even make unique pieces of clothing in a DIY way, as sew-in, USB heating sets are also available on the AliExpress platform.

Ozone generators are not harmless equipment. They develop ozone gas, which kills unwanted parasites, but is harmful to all living organisms. NEVER leave such equipment in the hands of children, and you must also use the device with care. Read the how-to carefully before use, but we also recommend our article on the subject below. ATTENTION! OZONE IS A POISONOUS GAS, SO USE THE PRODUCT CAREFULLY.
Who we recommend it to
Back in 2020, during the infamous COVID epidemic, we bought several ozone generators, which we used not only to sterilize the apartment and get rid of mold. We have a colleague who disinfects car air conditioning with it 2-3 times a year. The device cost HUF 10 and was used 000-8 times, which is much cheaper than using the same service. Basically, we recommend it to those who would like to do the disinfection, mold removal or deodorization of their car themselves, and will not be heartbroken by such devices.
Why is it out of stock?
All ozone generators do the same thing: they produce a poisonous gas, ozone. This kills organisms, so it is good for several things: mold, bad odor caused by organic matter, disinfection. At that time, we used to clean the car air conditioner a lot, and here is the solution, but it also fixes the parasites on the tile joints in the bathroom. Is there a thermal bridge in the corner of the apartment? The mold surrenders here too, you don't need to spray Savo all over the surface, but you can beat the bedroom with it even after a serious illness. The interval can be set with the timer on the product, and the device switches off automatically when ozonation is finished.

Energy transmission and storage is a typical problem affecting everyone. Here are some things to look out for:
- It is therefore worth calculating in advance with the power - how much and how many devices - and the type of connectors - e.g. USB-A, Type-C - and with its number, the charging standards - PD, VOOC, HyperCharge, etc. - but also with the size.
- There are also pieces equipped with special properties. Apple owners may think of wireless charging and magnetic power banks as selling points.
- Don't forget to order cables with a suitable cross-section.
Who we recommend it to
Everyone needs a charger and some kind of energy storage. The smaller ones are called power banks and the bigger ones are called power stations. Today, you can charge almost everything from these, phones, tablets, and even notebooks. Basically, we recommend it to those who want to satisfy a special need, not too expensive, need cables or unique solutions. That is, for almost everyone.
Why is it out of stock?
There is a staggering amount of brands available on the AliExpress platform that sell chargers or energy storage solutions. Voltme, Kuulaa, Toocki, Baseus, Mr. Green, and more. There are very special solutions capable of delivering up to 100 W, but for example you can convert the DC cable of laptops to a Type-C end. MagSafe power banks, which imitate the expensive Apple products at a much lower price, have gone big. And the GaN chargers are capable of high performance even when compressed into a small space, and their operation is ensured by a million electronic protections.

Car phone holders - Because they always fall off, don't stick or break
- real consumables
- there are thousands of them, for thousands of cars
- there are automatic sensors
- you can run into funny creative solutions
- many are "multi-in-one" products, such as an integrated holder with an FM transmitter or charger
Pay attention to this when shopping
The problem with car phone holders is that every car needs something a little different. There are universal solutions that can be used with several types or can be attached to the windshield - sucker mount -, but there are also those that need to be inserted into the ventilation grill. Today, they also offer automatic types, in which a proximity sensor pulls the tabs together. Always pay attention to which type of mounts are compatible, because it's a big deal if it doesn't fit yours, and the good ones are the ones that least obstruct the view.
Who we recommend it to
Primarily for those who have a car, but obviously there are thousands of mounts for motorbikes on AliExpress, and even for bicycles. These are generally much cheaper than anywhere else and we didn't notice much of a difference in quality. There are even pharmacy pieces, made of aluminum. Basically, we recommend it to those who own a vehicle and like to get special features cheaply, as there are literally a million variants, with surprisingly good quality.
Why is it out of stock?
Today, the car holder fulfills more than one function. Of course, it holds your devices, but they can be charged smoothly or wirelessly, or they automatically tighten their handle, but the more perverse models can even integrate an FM transmitter or a hands-free set. Or anything else the Chinese can think of. They support a lot of charging standards, and there are even all-round solutions that go with a pop-up pad, can be hung in a gap in the dashboard, or can even be applied to the ventilation grill.

Mouse, keyboard, HUB - A flood of computer peripherals
- they are getting better on the software side
- there are also combined solutions here
- they give brutal hardware surprisingly cheap
- I also found a lot of spare parts for them
- mechanical keyboards have a lifespan of millions of keystrokes
Pay attention to this when shopping
The range of computer peripherals is almost endless. Basically, we usually look for mice, keyboards and docks within the ranks of AliExpress. We could write 10 pages about each of them, and we also wrote "Gamer Mouse - These are the best of 2025” with the title. Be sure to check the connections and transmission standards, as well as the technical parameters. If you buy a dock that accepts an SSD, it is worth checking its size and connector.
Who we recommend it to
Most of our editorial team uses a mechanical keyboard and a gamer or high-end office mouse. Since we type millions of characters and press mouse buttons every year, it doesn't matter how we do it. You can easily get high-tech, relatively cheaply, hidden behind no-name brands. Basically, we recommend it to those who have not had a mechanical keyboard or a more serious mouse before, but would like to try a better one, for not too much money.
Why is it out of stock?
If it's a gamer mouse, then Ajazz, Mechanike, Attack Shark, Dareu, Rapoo and a thousand other manufacturers, and if it's a mechanical keyboard, then the same with Redragon and Thunderobot. We have been using the K70T model of the latter for more than 6 years, approx. We've had 30 million hits on it since then and it still holds up. We charge our Rapoo VT9 Air mouse once a month, which is outstanding. A 1-terabyte SSD works in our Essager HUB, and we also drive +2 monitors from it. These things are also available on the AliExpress website, and we got them all at very reasonable prices.
Pay attention to this when shopping
The design of each phone is unique and the displays are also different. Therefore, the minimum is to check which devices a particular case or film is suitable for. It is also worth looking at their material, many pieces with a leather effect start to crumble or split. Sometimes ridiculous, random things are written on the cases, these types should be avoided. There are, on the other hand, extra patterns, of which they sell all kinds of colors, so the cases can even be matched to an outfit. The most important feature of the screen protector is that it should be of good quality, tempered glass, because these are much easier to put on than foils and offer better protection.
Who we recommend it to
I don't know who wouldn't use a phone case or screen protector. For example, they have saved my device several times from falling. Many times, the camera island is also surrounded, so that the mobile phone does not wobble on the table while typing. The display protective film protects the panel against scratches and impacts, a must-have accessory. Basically for everyone who has a mobile phone and wants it to stay in the same condition as before.
Why is it out of stock?
AliExpress primarily knows more than anyone else that the selection is almost insurmountable. In addition, phone cases get tired, UV eats them, they tear, so the ebadta dies, you always need another one. It's worth adding a new one every 1-2 years, which is better to buy at the same time, because it's the cheapest. Anyone who wants to be fashionable can freely vary the shapes and colors. It is also worth pulling in more of the screen protector at once, it is better to damage it than the display.
Which didn't make the list, but is worth noting
Of course, our list can never be complete, and there are a lot of other trivial products that we have brought from AliExpress for ridiculous amounts in the past. A few more thought-provoking examples:
- older models of Amazfit smartwatches went for half/third the price at the same time
- We have also replaced countless BT earphones and headphones (Anker, Edifier, 1More, KZ, etc.), as well as the cushioning of the latter
- at one time Poco and Redmi phones were very cheap
- there are mountains of WORKPRO tools in our basement, but the Beko stuff is also good (we had impact drills and screwdrivers for around HUF 10, with batteries)
- hiking stuff, look for the brands Aonijie and Humtto
- For 3D printers, filament, PEI sheets, nozzles and much more
- robot and standing vacuum cleaners from EU warehouses, they tend to be brutally cheap during 11.11
- SUPs and other sports equipment can also be pulled in
This list is not complete, but we wish everyone good hunting in one of the world's largest online stores, AliExpress!
Everything you need to know about the AliExpress online store
It's amazing how many different ways we've seen AliExpress's name spelled over the past few years, so we want to quickly untangle this Gordian knot. AliExpress's official website is AliExpress.com, so AliExpress.hu does not exist - the domain was registered by someone, the page is empty - and AliExpressz.hu is not the Hungarian website of AliExpress, it belongs to a completely different company, the service is not the same here you will receive as on the original site. What is described in our article today applies only to products and services available on AliExpress.com.
The official name of the website is AliExpress - pronounced: AliExpressz, written in Chinese characters: 全门速卖通 -, but we have also seen "Ali Express", "Aliexpres", "Aliex", "Alie" and similar names, they all mean the same website . In public speech, both "Ali" and "alizás" are common, the latter means shopping and product hunting on the website, we also use this term in-house for this process.
A little AliExpress history
AliExpress is an online, Chinese retail service provider, in Hungarian we call it a web store, and it is part of the technology company Alibaba Group. It is a listed conglomerate that combines several business branches - it also has a leg dealing with transport, online retail, financial transfers, and cloud-based services - and it also occupies a worthy place in the ranking of the world's largest companies. Its founder is Jack Ma, who founded Alibaba.com in 1999 with 17 friends - mainly university classmates - which still exists today, and is actually the reseller, B2B - business to business - leg of the company group.
In contrast, AliExpress is a "retail" site where consumers order 1-1 products, basically for private use. In fact, it is one of the oldest platforms in China where you can buy all kinds of gadgets. The site has been around for almost 25 years, while countless of its competitors - Gearbest, TinyDeal, PandaWill and the like - disappeared into the abyss. Their closest opponents are perhaps the well-known Temu - this is owned by Pindudou, also owned by a Chinese parent company -, the American Amazon and Ebay, but since AliExpress is actually a listing platform, the online clothing sites - Sinsay, Shein, Vinted etc. - they also compete with it. And in the field of technical articles there is the Banggood, Gearbest, the Geekmaxi, TomTop or just the one that's trending recently Ranvee technical store.
What AliExpress really is
It depends on where you look at it. AliExpress orders are run within an ecosystem where Alibaba provides the platform where different stores - often the manufacturers themselves - list their products. When you pay, you do so through AliPay, which is an electronic money transfer service provider similar to PayPal, but AliExpress also has a dispute resolution interface. What's more, after you order something, Alibaba's logistics company will deliver the package to you in Europe.
In other words, AliExpress is actually a platform that provides a complete service package, where the entire framework is owned by them, but the listed products are not sold by AliExpress, but by the sellers registered in the framework, and Ali also exercises the right of supervision over them. This will be important later, we will come back to it later. Is this familiar from somewhere? Yes, the American technology company Amazon does exactly the same, only they have more legs, as they also have a streaming service, for example.
What products are available on AliExpress?
If we wanted to simplify the question, we could say that almost everything. Of course, this is a strong exaggeration, but it is mostly a location for typical gadgetry, DIY stuff, clothes and shoes, tools, technical devices, things related to the garden and outdoor hobbies and sports. The AliExpress platform is particularly strong in various accessories, and all kinds of well-known Chinese brands list their products here. Although products belonging to the highly branded Western sphere of interest are basically not represented on AliExpress, but operate their own physical brand stores or online web stores, we have already seen refurbished iPhones, Salomon shoes, and Makita tool accessories in the web store.
However, the most typical AliExpress product categories are the following:
- tools and small electrical machines
- technical accessories: chargers, cables, connectors, adapters, power banks, etc.
- photography props: tripods, lights, object box, etc.
- technical sports accessories: lights, on-board computers, sensors
- sports equipment: dumbbells, bench presses, rubber bands, strengthening accessories
- network devices and peripherals: keyboard, mouse, router, HUB, etc.
- cleaning equipment: mops, steamers, dry-wet, standing and robotic vacuum cleaners
- phones, tablets, laptops, mini PCs, smart TVs
- smart watches and activity trackers
- DIY hobby accessories: 3D printing, laser engraving, other DIY stuff
- Bluetooth earphones and headphones, speakers
- clothes and shoes (Chinese running brands are especially good)
- hiking stuff and equipment
- game consoles
- small kitchen appliances: blender, grinder, coffee maker, etc.
- cosmetic and beauty tools: hair dryer, epilator, etc.
- RC hobby vehicles: helicopters, remote control cars, drones and their parts
- heated clothing: the largest selection of such products is on AliExpress, we have already bought quite a few from there
Of course, this has only scratched the surface, as there are a lot of unique products on AliExpress that are not available anywhere else, giving great Christmas gift ideas to a little more creative customers.
One of the features of AliExpress is that the big Chinese brands are almost all there with their products on the platform. It is true that they are not necessarily known to the European consumer, but that still makes them quality pieces, and we dare to recommend them (without claiming to be exhaustive, because it would be impossible to list them all):
- chargers and accessories: Essager, Toocki, Vention, Kuulaa, VoltME, TopK, Cabeltime, Ugreen, Anker, Baseus, Qoovi, BlitzWolf, Fossibot, Flashfish, etc.
- smartphones: Xiaomi and its sub-brands (Redmi, Poco, etc.), OnePlus, Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Blackview, Black Shark, Infinix, Doogee, ZTE, etc.
- Bluetooth speakers, earphones and headphones: Anker Soundcore, Edifier, Mifa, Tronsmart, 1More, QCY, Xiaomi, Huawei, GGMM, Doss, Dockin, etc.
- smart watch: Amazfit, Zeblaze, Mobvoi Ticwatch, Honor, Huawei, Haylou, Mibro, etc.
- standing and robotic vacuum cleaners: Xiaomi sub-brands (Dreame, Viomi, Roborock, Jimmy, Roidmi), Tesvor, Liectroux, Ultenic, iLife, Redkey, Lydsto, Midea, etc.
- PC peripherals: Mechanike, Ajazz, Shark Attack, Aula, Rapoo, Thunderobot, Redragon, etc.
- 3D printers: QIDI Tech, FlashForge, Creality, Mingda, Anycubic, Longer, Elegoo, etc.
- running shoes: Li-Ning, 361 Degrees, Anta, Peak, Xtep, sub-brands of Xiaomi (Freetie), OneMix
- hiking stuff: Naturehike, Humtoo, Aonijie
- tablets: Alldocube, Chuwi, N-One, Teclast, Blackview
- notebook: N-One, Ninkear, Teclast, Chuwi, Bmax
- projector: Wanbo, JMGo, Fengmi, Xgimi, Thundeal, Ultimea
- car accessories: Viofo, DDPAI, 70mai, AZdome
- oral care: Oclean, Nandme, Enchen, Xiaomi, etc.
- massage/health: Yunmai, Kica, Booster
- furniture: NewTral (ergonomic chairs), ACGAM (electrically adjustable tables)
- tools: HOTO, WORKPRO, Deko, Worx
As you can see, the Chinese have developed roughly the same brand structure as the Americans and Europeans, only under different brands.
They are sold on AliExpress
The peculiarity of the AliExpress platform is that since the products are not sold by Ali, but by the sellers, it is worth saving individual shops to the list of favorites and checking whether the seller is reliable. 7-8 years ago, the situation was much worse, but now it has become especially good, because AliExpress has been exterminating fake sellers with fire and iron. Nevertheless, you can still find some. Since the dispute resolution is also handled by AliExpress and the money is withheld like PayPal - there have been several cases when we got 100% of our money back and got to keep the product - that's why those shops disappeared. Today, the AliExpress platform has become very secure, but nevertheless it is worth paying attention to the signs.
Source: AliExpress screenshot
How can you recognize when something is wrong with a store? The picture below shows Anker Soundcore's official store, that is Anker Official Store you can see the feedback interface, which a positive example. We have marked in red what to look for, but we also explain what the positive and negative signs are that you should pay attention to when placing an AliExpress order:
- If the store has a nonsensical name - e.g. random numbers or letters in succession –, it usually does not mean good. It is not an exclusive reason to buy, but more serious companies almost always use the following scheme: [brand name]+[Official Store].
- When did the store open?: the picture below shows that the Anker Official Store was registered 9 years ago. If a date earlier than 1 year is mentioned here, it is thought-provoking.
- Feedback is very important for stores. Most stores ask for this even after the purchase, their interest is to have the average score as high as possible.
- Nobody or very few people follow Kamu sellers, therefore a high number of followers is a good thing, these are usually dedicated customers waiting for a sale.
- Photo reviews. One of the best indicators, the more the better. These are typically dedicated customers who do not hesitate to share their experiences.
- Store Credibility, or authenticity. This is a composite indicator where customers on AliExpress can give points, which are combined by AliExpress into an aggregate indicator.
Source: AliExpress screenshot
Of course, it is worth following the higher the better principle, and you can also run into the evaluations of our compatriots, which further strengthens the credibility.
Sometimes it happens that you can find very good deals in shops with strange names, you don't have to be afraid of them. Chinese nomenclature and the underlying logic are simply different, they use countless words that are bazaar to us Europeans, but are considered serious in their culture. Just think of the car manufacturer BYD, which stands for "Build Your Dream" in English.
It is worth looking at several sellers regarding a product, since AliExpress is a platform, countless stores can list the same item. These stores compete with each other on price and simply give extra discounts at the expense of the other. We have also seen an example where a company opened a shop for several sub-brands - for example, the Li-Ning company for the Li-Ning and Kawasaki sub-brands - but their products were also sold crosswise, often at different prices. In the tips and tricks section, we show a method by which you can list identical products and find the cheapest one using the AliExpress application.
Kamu products on the AliExpress platform
No matter how much AliExpress tries to filter out fraudsters, since they do not distribute the products, this is why fakes happen. How do you know that a product might not be original or that the seller just wants to rip you off with some money? In most cases, big western brands do not market and promote their products on AliExpress, if you find one, it should be suspicious. At that time, we bought Salomon Speedcross 4 CS cross-country running shoes out of a desire for adventure. you can read the story and the outcome here, and in our opinion, this also clearly highlights that AliExpress makes decisions in favor of customers more than not.
Source: AliExpress screenshot
Another warning sign is if something is too cheap. Why would someone sell you the product at an unrealistically low price when they could do it for three times the price? The picture above is a good example of this. If you find one, always be suspicious. There are no 1000W electric bikes for $258, not even on AliExpress.
What is an almost completely fake product? The following are:
- branded sports goods: products of Nike, Puma, Adidas, Head, Babolat and other sports clothing brands
- branded sports shoes: Hoka, Mizuno, Salomon, etc.
- bags from luxury manufacturers: Prada, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, etc.
- perfumes: Hugo Boss
- sunglasses: Ray-Ban
- Western electronics: JBL, Logitech
- products of well-known power tool manufacturers: Makita, DeWalt, Milwaukee
I would add to the above that there are quite a lot of Makita compatible batteries, which are not fake, because the Chinese simply use Makita's standard as well. Because of this, even these are not manufactured by Makita and the capacity values written on them are not always correct.
By the way, the Chinese do not hesitate to copy each other, for example, they simply steal the logo of the original Li-Ning shoe and put it on a similar, non-Li-Ning shoe. One of their characteristics is that the logo looks a little different and usually the brand name is not included in the name, it is always worth checking these by placing the pictures of the original and the fake product side by side and observing the details.
AliExpress, Temu or Ebay
One of the biggest competitors of AliExpress in the last 2-3 years has been Temu owned by Pinduoduo. The logic behind Temu is very similar to AliExpress, with the difference that in the case of Temu you can relatively rarely come across brand names, i.e. branded products. Even if they are Chinese. This means that most of the time the typical gadgety, accessory things work on Temun. Cables, chargers, headphone cushions, and 3D printer supplies could be packed into the Danube, the selection of these is really rough, but Temu doesn't sell the really branded stuff.
The reason for this is that Temu basically cornered the market with dumping prices - and other dubious, cost-cutting things - and keeping costs low does not fit in with the platform distributing products with high brand power. The free delivery was also solved by having a minimum order threshold, and some stores order a minimum amount for the checkout - this "checking out of the basket" means, practically, the end of the purchase - thus maintaining the low price.
Source: Temu screenshot
This does not mean that only noname stuff is on Temu's platform, for example Zealot and KZ speakers and earphones have "names". However, those manufacturers who have brand power, i.e. charge an extra premium for the product name, are no longer able to sell their products at a sufficiently low price, so they fall out of Temu's typical range of products. Thus, Temun is mainly bought by those who want to solve a specific problem with little money and are not looking for a product from a specific brand. Of course, this doesn't mean that we don't buy from here, in fact, we bought a lot of stuff for our 3D printer projects, but we won't be looking for quality products here.
On the other hand, AliExpress has increasingly moved in the direction of dumping cheap products like Temu, so that especially high-quality brands that strengthen customer loyalty also appear on its platform. Today, an Edifier, an Anker or a 1More tuning Xiaomi's stuff is not considered crap, and I don't think anyone needs to introduce Xiaomi, Huawei, and Lenovo. So, overall, we can say that you can find slightly more expensive but better quality products in the AliExpress range, but since the selection is brutal, the range practically covers what you can find in the case of Temu. Temu's application and website are also fully available in Hungarian.
Ebay is the exception
It is worth looking into Ebay a bit, since it is a similar platform in nature, but it operates as a kind of online second-hand store, where in the beginning - the end of the 2000s - mostly online auctions took place. This meant that the products could not be purchased at a fixed price, but had to be bid - bid - for the products. There were plenty of private sellers selling unique items such as painted figures from board games like Warhammer. These were unrepeatable auctions, so winning the bidding process itself was a joy.
Today, they are in the minority, there are many more fixed-price products, most of which belong to the European culture, countless well-known brands can be found on the platform, but of course the Chinese could not be left out either. Of course, everything you can imagine is also here.
Source: Ebay screenshot
A kind of vintage second-hand trend has also developed, you can get used products, but in good condition for posterity, which you will not find at all on the AliExpress and Temu platforms. Shoes - sneakers -, old-school electronics - tape recorders, amplifiers, vinyl - and everything unique and retro are very popular. Of course, AliExpress or Temu can't reproduce these, but who knows, maybe in 30-40 years there will be vintage Chinese stuff. For example, the GGMM M3 is already being recalled, even though it is only 7-8 years old.
AliExpress or Shein
Shein - originally known as ZZKO - is a Chinese fast fashion retail company founded in 2008 in Nanking by Chris Xu, as Wikipedia writes. This should be thought of as the very bottom of fast fashion clothes, where not very high quality is offered very cheaply. Since the clothes are often seasonal products - that is, they are changed annually and even seasonally - they can rotate very quickly, and Shein is quite a king in this genre. Their clothes are cheap and the delivery is free above a certain quantity, but their quality is not high, especially if you compare them with the timeless luxury brands, but they do not always reach the level of an average H&M dress either. Shein became popular simply because you can browse a very wide selection very cheaply, the delivery is also fast, and there are many promotions and discounts available from time to time.
On the other hand, AliExpress' clothing range is quite "sporadic", there are incredibly shoddy but very cheap and low-quality products - such as the fake branded Babolat and Head t-shirts - and very good ones, such as Li-Ning or Kawasaki. In comparison to Shein's platform, AliExpress is strong in sports products, especially in sports that are very popular in China. I don't think anyone doubts that the Chinese are quite good at table tennis, badminton and the like, and the AliExpress stores and manufacturers that deal with it offer particularly high quality.
We also have several Li-Ning shoes that we use for outdoor and indoor sports, training, and table tennis, and they are in no way inferior to Western brands. Also worth mentioning is Kawasaki, which has nothing to do with the motorcycle manufacturer, it is a sub-brand of Li-Ning badminton and you can find great shoes here too. Although the shoes can still be found in the Shein online store, they follow not so much the sporty but rather the fashionable line, so in this sense the two platforms do not compete with each other. Overall, the biggest risk with clothing products from Shein and AliExpress is usually the sizing, but this can be experienced after a few tries.
Today, however, Shein not only sells clothes, but is also at home in all kinds of other categories. On the Shein website, you can also search among the following products:
- electronics
- tools
- baby care items
- cosmetics
- games
- pet accessories
- technical devices
It is interesting that the products of some Western brands - Philips, Oral B, Panasonic - can also be found on the Shein site, at least as far as technical devices are concerned. With this, Shein is pretty much taking Temu's laurels, because although there are well-known goods, most of them are cheap dumping stuff.
To summarize what Shein is: primarily a cheap fast fashion online store that extends its tentacles to other areas, mostly overlapping Temu's product and target audience.
AliExpress or Sinsay
Sinsay is not a Chinese brand, but the property of the Polish, listed LPP concern, which deals with the design, production and distribution of clothing items. They also own the Reserved, House, Cropp and Mohito brands in addition to Sinsay. LPP was founded in 1991 in Gdańsk by Marek Piechocki and Jerzy Lubianiec.
It is important that Sinsay is not only a seller, but also a manufacturer, so you can only find their products in Sinsay's 2000 physical stores or in Sinsay's online store. Of course, the Chinese don't need to go next door for some copying, so if something catches on, it's bound to have a Far Eastern variant right away.
Sinsay is not a platform, but a manufacturer
Since Sinsay designs, manufactures and sells its own products, they pay more attention to quality than products found on AliExpress or Shein, but it is still a fast-fashion clothing and accessories company. It can be said that clothes and shoes make up a large part of Sinsay's offer. Sinsay also does not sell special sports clothing - e.g. shoes for various sports purposes - but products that can be adapted to a home decoration theme, yes.
In the case of Sinsay, you can enter the following categories in addition to clothes:
- living room and bedroom accessories
- kitchen and dining room supplies
- bathroom accessories
- stuff for the balcony and garden
As you can see, Sinsay is also expanding, but since it is the manufacturer here, it is very unlikely that it will ever overlap to a large extent with Temu's and AliExpress's inventory. Sinsay is also available in Hungarian.
To summarize what Sinsay is: Sinsay is not a platform store, but a manufacturer that sells its own products, mainly fashion clothing. In terms of price and quality, its range can be surpassed by Temu, it also has its own brands, behind which it maintains a network of stores, but of course it is also present in the online space with the web address Sinsay.com.
AliExpress or Vinted
Vinted is a Lithuanian second-hand online clothing platform developed in 2008, which at first was mostly present in Central and Eastern Europe, so it is also popular in our country, but it can also be found, for example, in Germany under the name Kleiderkreisel. Today, the platform is spread all over the world, it is available in the USA as well as in Spain. It also has a phone app, but also a website, Vinted.hu
Vinted is also a platform business, which means that the company does not manufacture its own products, but only provides the interface for the sale of used clothes, basically for private individuals. Vinted is actually an online rummage shop, and although its product range partially covers Sinsay, Temu and AliExpress, they don't really compete with each other, simply because they don't sell used clothes. Of course, Vinted doesn't only have things "dropped off" by others, but also new ones, which are usually unwrapped but unused products.
Our own experience is that you can actually find clothes from AliExpress, Sinsay and Temu on Vinted, since they are not separated on the second-hand market, everyone puts all kinds of things on the platform. The quality and the range of brands are extremely wide. The former depends on the condition in which the sellers kept it and the quality of the original product. And the brand range can be anything from genuine Chinese to top American sporting goods manufacturers. You can get a lot of special shoes on Vinted, we have already bought several climbing shoes in good condition for half or a third of the price, but these are quite special things. Vinted is perfect for this, in return you have to constantly monitor price reductions, which can be tiring, but the app notifies you of this.
Similar to Sinsay's online store, Vinted also offers other products in addition to clothes:
- textíliák
- home accessories (dishes and the like)
- pet accessories
In summary, Vinted is an online "turi" where products from all kinds of brands, whether European or Chinese, are aggregated. You can run into almost any clothing product - including used Sinsay clothes, for example - but the range does not extend much beyond that.
AliExpress in Hungarian - The most important settings and the order process
AliExpress is not a complicated platform, but there are a few things you should know about it. The first thing is to register on their website or in their application, which we will guide you through with pictures.
Here is our first tip: new users always have some extra discount on the AliExpress site. They usually see a different price than existing users. This is also true if you have not yet logged into the account, the price changes many times after logging in.
The first question that always arises before registration is: can AliExpress be used in Hungarian?
AliExpress in Hungarian
We would like to dispel some misconceptions regarding the above. In the past, there was a system based on automatic translations on the site, which led many people to believe that AliExpress "knows" Hungarian. However, this consisted of nothing more than an automatic translator, which translated the platform almost locally into Hungarian. This means machine translation, native speakers had no role in this. This option is no longer available, the Hungarian language has been removed from the language selector at the top right, and you can use Google's page translator in your browser instead.

The translation of AliExpress into Hungarian has a few key points that are worth knowing:
- translators translate the simpler menu items and product names well
- however, there are cases when more complicated or inflected expressions mislead the translator, so AliExpress in Hungarian will not make sense
This usually happens when sellers use the so-called "keyword stuffing" phenomenon, that is, they try to include everything in the name of the product. Our favorite example is the following:
- the original product name is "Security Outdoor Emergency Personal Defense Supplies Self Defense Baseball Bat Led Flashlight Stick Equipments Self Defense"
- translating AliExpress into Hungarian, it gives the following: "Security outdoor emergency personal protective equipment self-defense baseball bat LED flashlight stick equipment self-defense"
As you can see, this translation is not very meaningful, so AliExpress cannot be fully used in Hungarian. What is the solution:
- if English - or German/French - is not a language barrier, use it that way
- even if they didn't speak perfect English, you can still get used to the interface
And if all the ropes are broken and you definitely want to use AliExpress in Hungarian, then there is the Chrome browser with the built-in translation function.
AliExpress registration
Open the AliExpress.com website or start the app, on Android it is available from Google Play. The first thing is to set the language, destination country and currency in the upper right corner.
Source: AliExpressz screenshot
Here are our comments:
- Ship to: this is the shipping country where the package will arrive. Set this for Hungary, because you may get different prices, or certain products are either not delivered here or under different conditions, such as outside Europe.
- Language: although the use of the English language is becoming less of a limitation at home, AliExpress used to work in Hungarian with the help of machine translation, but this menu has been removed. It used to work with the proviso that there were strange mistranslations in it, due to the special structure of our native language.
- Currency: you can use the page in HUF, but we recommend leaving it in dollars, i.e. USD. This is important because Aliexpress will charge your bank card in the selected currency, but the exchange rates they use are much less favorable for us than the exchange rates of domestic or international banks. That is why it is also possible that the prices we share in the articles are lower than what you see in the HUF currency webshop.
It has been my experience that in the past the AliExpress site sometimes went crazy and changed the language, typically for us to Russian, Dutch or Vietnamese. The language settings may also change if you have used a VPN. In this case, the page can automatically search for the language based on the IP address belonging to the other country, and choose it. The language selector was removed some time ago, and the site is only available in a few languages, and we have not experienced the above phenomenon since then.

There is one at the top right register tab, you can register an account here, where you have to enter the email address and passwords or one of the service providers - Facebook, Google, X, etc. - you can also register via the simplified registration interface. Previously, more detailed data had to be entered, which has since been moved under the account/settings menu item.
After entering the interface, you can see the contents of the basket on the right side, if there is anything in it, and your account, where you should fill in the following:
- shipping address (shipping address): where the package will arrive, several addresses can be entered.
- payment: the bank card data are entered here. It is often asked whether AliExpress payment is safe, the answer is yes. It works pretty much like PayPal, but if in doubt, put a Revolut card in there that you disable after every purchase, or a single-use card that is destroyed after each purchase.
- my orders: your orders will be entered here, and you will also see the package tracking numbers here.
- my coupons, my coins: Ali coins and AliExpress coupons are entered here, if you have collected or received them, more on that later.
- favorites (wish list): it's worth saving interesting products here and checking back on major consumer holidays to see if the prices have changed.
A few things about the above. In the favorites, AliExpress lists the products you have looked at before, so if you can't find something, it's worth skimming through. THE settings/shipping address under AliExpress can handle multiple addresses, but there is a default address that is set automatically if you do not select another. We have already looked into this, this is how packages can go astray, so pay attention to this in the basket when paying.
Az message center (message center) is not as important on AliExpress as you might think, 99% of the time the sellers bombard you with all kinds of promotions. But, if you run into some kind of problem - for example, a dispute or a refund has been initiated - then those messages also arrive here and can get lost in the crowd, so it's worth paying attention to this.
AliExpress order - The costs
Perhaps this is what everyone is most interested in, and this is precisely why most customers push AliExpress orders by thousands, because it is one of the cheapest platforms, along with the listed Sinsay, Vinted, Temu, and Ebay. Overall, we always arrive at the conclusion that, in general, AliExpress offers the best prices for products that already make sense and can be used - because Temu is probably the cheapest in the low budget category - so if you are looking for consumer durables, you should visit the AliExpress website first.
This section will be more of a kind of recommendation and guide that describes our real experiences and tries to guide you through the minefield that you can run into while shopping.
Shop with your Revolut card on AliExpress
Important! If you are concerned that online shopping is dangerous, that online fraudsters may obtain your bank card details or become the subject of other financial machinations, please register Revolutra. Revolut offers a virtual bank card that is destroyed immediately after the purchase, which can be created in unlimited quantities for free. That way, even if your data were to leak out for some reason, this still provides protection against it.
The other solution is to create virtual but non-destructive cards - this is also free and can be of any amount - in the Revolut app, which you label with, say, "AliExpress order" and freeze them after the purchase. Thus, each platform can have a different color with a different name - e.g. "Shop AliExpress", "Shop Temu", "Shop Sinsay", etc. -, your dedicated card, which you only have to use when you like a product and want to pay its price. If someone were to try to use your card data, a "declined" entry would still appear under the card. This means that the payment failed for some reason - e.g. because you previously froze the card - so you can see if some event happened outside of your knowledge.

About AliExpress costs in detail
On AliExpress, the costs are made up of several things. Obviously everyone's goal is to keep these to a minimum. These roughly consist of:
- the price of the product
- currency exchange cost (the platform charges the price of the products in dollars)
- the shipping cost
- price reduction effect of site-wide coupons
- price reduction effect of store coupons
- bundle products and quantity discount
- Price reduction effect of AliExpress coin system
- 27% VAT (According to the laws in force in August 2025)
- you (if any, mostly none)
- handling cost for customs (Post office and other courier costs)
By discussing the above in a little more detail, you will see why it is so good to use AliExpress and how you can brutally lower prices.
You are right to ask the question, why is AliExpress so cheap? Mainly because of the following things:
- the shops on the AliExpress platform mostly represent the manufacturers, so you can buy directly from them
- the Chinese government subsidizes exports, which is why there are so many free deliveries
- some products are copies of western brands, where you don't have to pay for the power of the brand, so the products are cheaper (in exchange, they may be of lower quality)
The price of AliExpress products
If you did not search for a specific product on AliExpress, you will always see the AliExpress recommendation on the main page with the dollar price of the products, usually divided into categories. If you use the AliExpress interface with Hungarian currency, the system converts the dollar price into forints. For this reason, we preferred the English language, because the price in USD is actually the authoritative one (we only translate this into forints in our articles for your convenience).
There are highlights on the main page, such as super deals and the like, they only indicate a specific category for which AliExpress is running some kind of campaign. The lowest price is ALWAYS listed on the recommendation page, but in reality this is not always true for several reasons. Why don't you pay the price you see on the offer:
- On the given product page, the cheapest of the products listed there is always listed. For example, in the case of a shoe, if it comes with an insole, the price is listed (by definition, the shoe is much more expensive than the insole).
- On the product page the product price and delivery cost are shown separately. It's an old trick that a cheap product comes with expensive shipping.
- A mode of transport - e.g. faster delivery - your choice also affects the price. Faster or better always costs more!
- For clothes the sizes you are looking for are more expensive, and the less sought after tend to be cheaper. The same can be true for popular and unpopular colors.
- There is usually a quantity discount. For example, in the case of goods that can be ordered in bulk - e.g. tennis and squash grips - there are boxed and cylindrical packages, which are much cheaper than buying one piece.
Pro tip: look for a product where shipping is free - in fact, the price of the product includes it - so you don't have to add up the two amounts on the AliExpress interface.
The price of the products expressed in USD can be changed by several factors after being added to the cart. Fortunately, you don't have to make a pilgrimage to the basket because AliExpress's system displays it in a bar on the right. However, here you only see the total price of the products, not what you will pay in the end.
On the one hand, the already mentioned currency exchange costs change what appears as a charge on your card. This depends on many things, including the currency exchange rate, so you should use the interface with a price display in dollars and exchange the appropriate amount in advance.
AliExpress shipping methods
The type of delivery also changes the price. Faster delivery always increases shipping costs. The packages are usually brought to Europe by airplanes designed for cargo transport, or they are delivered from EU warehouses. The latter is always indicated by the seller next to the product. Which products are not delivered by air:
- anything that is large or very heavy
- which is a fire hazard, such as batteries
- where shipping is cheap and the product arrives slowly (for example, over 30 days)
The latter clause simply refers to the fact that shipping something by container ship is much cheaper than by plane, but it takes much longer. The ship often reaches Europe in 30-60 days, while the same takes 5-7 days by plane. Certain, very cheap, small items are simply not worth putting on a plane, which is why the container ship and the long-term transport remain.
How do you know which shipping methods are free and which company delivers them? About this we wrote in our previous content discussing AliExpress, here you can also find the free delivery methods of other large online stores.
Today, in the case of AliExpress, in 99,99% of cases, the order comes with a package tracking number - tracking number - which the My Orders/Order Details I found it in the hamburger menu under the menu item. Here, typically, the status changes of the package - it was loaded onto the ship, the ship departed, arrived at the port, etc. – you can follow, in English. It is important that everything is considered a "shipment", even if it comes by plane, so don't mislead anyone, this word does not refer to the vehicle. If you know the tracking number, you can check the status on different tracking pages, we wrote about them here.
The RendeljKínait page also provides such a service, for this you need to press the tool icon on the right and then enter the tracking number in the window that appears.
Pro tip: contrary to what you are used to with other Chinese online stores, AliExpress's EU warehouses do NOT provide "duty free" in all cases, but the delivery from here is much faster. How can you know this then? See "AliExpress Customs and VAT" section.
AliExpress coupons, i.e. the AliExpress coupon system
AliExpress is famous for the fact that all of their products can be couponed into scrap, which the couponing sites also jumped on. These rarely actually offer a solution - they're more likely to not work than to work - they exist only to divert traffic themselves. Why is it so difficult to get AliExpress coupons to customers? It's actually not that difficult, but it's no coincidence that the Order China coupons subpage I couldn't find AliExpress coupons either. To do this, you need to understand how Ali's coupon system works.
AliExpress "site wide" coupon or "store" coupon
AliExpress basically distinguishes two categories of coupons. Are:
- site wide coupons that can be categorized
- store coupon coupons that can be categorized
The difference between the two is that while the former works on the entire site and can be used with any product, except for one or two special cases, the latter is provided by the store and can only be used with their products. The joy in the joy is that the two types of coupons can be combined, that is, for one product, you can use both site wide and store coupons on AliExpress, and you can even mix them with AliExpress coins.
So why is it that most coupon listing sites can't give working AliExpress coupons - because we're not saying they can't? Because the site wide coupons you can only use a certain amount, they run out, and the amount is updated at certain intervals - usually daily or twice a day. For example, in the case of major consumer holidays, at the beginning of the day, let's say, the first 50 customers can still use the site wide coupon, while the 000st cannot. Then in the afternoon, the counter will reset to zero and the coupon can be used for another 50 orders, and so on. Therefore, no one can tell in advance whether a site wide coupon is working or not, you have to try it. Site wide coupons typically give a certain amount of discount in addition to a given basket value, for example, 001 USD for consumption of 50 USD. All major consumer holidays – such as Easter, Singles Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, etc. - new coupons are issued, which are valid until the end of the holiday, sometimes even longer. So that you don't have to hunt for them, we publish them all on our main page before the major consumer holidays.
A store coupons - used to for select coupon also call - the situation is simpler in the case of these, these are issued by shops, typically several at a time. It is usually indicated by an orange text and the "Get coupons" button must be pressed. Similar to site wide coupons, discounts are tied to basket value or quantity. The coupons must be "collected", that is, the coupon must be "clicked" on the page of the given store, in which case it will be added to the "My coupons" menu under your profile. This does not entail any obligation until the coupons expire, until then you can see them listed on the subpage.
Important! Unlike coins, site wide coupons must be used in the cart, only then will the discounts be valid, the system will not add them automatically!
AliExpress coin, i.e. AliExpress's own "money"
AliExpress has its own currency, AliExpress coin, which is automatically used by the system for purchases. For you you don't have to do anything, you can see the discount in the basket, which is automatically applied. There are two ways to collect them, one is by adding them to the basket I test products before major consumer holidays, then the site rewards it with coins.
The other is if you play different games in the AliExpress app, so it is really worth downloading the AliExpress app. Games of this type typically work like all collectible games, the program rewards activity. In other words, the more times you log in, the more plants you grow in the game, test products in the cart, spin lucky wheels and do similar things, the more coins you will be rewarded with.

They are also in the application bundle discounts, which means nothing more than that by ordering several products at the same time, you can get them at a lower price. These are not selected by you, but are offered by the AliExpress system, but there are often good deals among them.
AliExpress customs clearance and VAT payment
After July 2021, 1, the previous practice, which exempted packages under the value of EUR 22 from paying VAT, ceased. Based on the new EU VAT law, all packages from third countries, regardless of value VAT liability burdens, which in Hungary means 27% more traffic, we wrote about this here before. So when we talk about "customs" in common language, we mean the process in which the biggest cost is not the customs, but the VAT payment.
In fact customs duty You don't have to pay below the value limit of EUR 150, in fact, experience shows that it is amazingly rare even above that. Some technical devices, such as telephones and tablets, are an exception to this, but the NAV database is the guideline for this. The customs duty is determined by the NAV based on the intrinsic value of the package, i.e. transport, VAT, insurance and other costs are usually not included in the customs value, only the actual purchase price of the goods. In many cases, however the sender will not reveal these, the NAV will not investigate for your wishes, that is, you can prove this to the authority with the invoice you receive.
Many people forget about the third cost, which is the handling of the customs procedure customs administration costs, that is, someone does the paperwork for you. Fortunately, in contrast to the previous traditional customs procedure, they are already trying to solve this centrally so that the one-time customer does not have to suffer. This is basically solved in two ways, viz iOS – AliExpress uses this – or that SA using system. I am generously quoting from ourselves, from this article:
“IOSS (Import One Stop Shop) system: Sellers from outside the European Union can register in the system, which makes it easier for the buyer to pay VAT. The point is that the buyer also pays the VAT to the seller at the time of purchase, which the seller will forward to the member state where he logged into the IOSS system. So, if we see the tax in the webshop total, we know that we are buying from a place that uses IOSS. It is enough for the seller to register in one member state and pay the VAT there, the customs authorities of the member states will distribute it among themselves according to the destination country of the package. So maybe one AliExpress the seller in Poland just logs into the system and pays the VAT to them, but the "Polish NAV" will forward it to the Hungarian NAV if the package is addressed to Hungary. It uses IOSS AliExpress and Ebay, as well as well-known Chinese webshops such as Banggood, Geekbuying, Ranvee and many others.
SA (Special Arrangement): Freight forwarders (e.g. Magyar Posta, DHL, DPD, etc.) can simplify VAT payment by using SA if they notify the tax office in advance of its use. SA is a special agreement between the forwarder and the tax office, under which the forwarder will collect the VAT from the addressee upon delivery of the package, and then declare and pay it to the tax office at certain intervals. This is only possible if the customs procedure is carried out in the country where the recipient is located."
The above sounds extremely complicated, but fortunately, most of it happens automatically and you - normally - won't notice anything about it!
Since AliExpress uses IOSS, when you pay for the products in the cart, a "VAT included", this shows that, according to IOSS, AliExpress collects the VAT that you paid in advance, and then AliExpress forwards it to the authorities. That's why they don't notice anything from the process.
Source: AliExpress screenshot
The rule of thumb here is that for packages sent from a Chinese warehouse up to EUR 150, AliExpress handles the VAT payment via IOSS, which has no additional costs, and in fact, the experience is that in relation to AliExpress's EU warehouse products, even in the case of a higher amount arranged in advance (since the product is already within the EU). However, note that that if VAT Included is not written in the basket, then you are facing a customs clearance procedure. This is done in most cases - but not exclusively - by Magyar Posta. In this case, the price of the product in the basket does not include VAT, which you will have to pay later.
This is done in much the same way as before, you have to fill in a customs goods declaration form with reduced data content. Process Name: Postal customs broker service, its fees you can find it at this link, and it is basically a fee linked to the price of the product. If Magyar Posta does not carry out the customs broker service and customs clearance, because, for example, they do not deliver the package, then you have to search among the service fees of the given delivery company. Another typical customs company is DHL, their prices On this link I will reach you.
Summary: the above may seem quite complicated and many people may not want to use AliExpress, so a few rules of thumb should be followed:
- In the case of products under 150 EUR, there is no above fee, so many people order below this amount
- If the amount of the order exceeds 150 EUR, but the individual value of the products does not, the package actually still goes through the IOSS system, especially if it is sent by different sellers as different packages
- In the case of EU warehouses, there is also rarely anything to do in addition to salary
This is one of the reasons why most people use AliExpress as a typical gadget site because of the above fears and order low-priced products, but the practice is usually much simpler than the theory, so you don't have to worry too much. Apart from the additional cost of a few thousand forints for customs clearance, there are usually no problems with the procedure.
AliExpress consumer holidays
A really big discount can be won at the AliExpress consumer holidays held every year. These are repeated events, but they do not fall on the same day every year, and in fact, you could see in connection with Black Friday that there are places where Black Friday is held "all year round". So the time changes, but the basic logic is the same: within a given period, the products can be obtained significantly cheaper than at other times. They are listed below in chronological order.
First days of every month - Choice Day
AliExpress holds mini consumer holidays, which are none other than Choice Day held on the first couple of days of every month. Typically, these are smaller sales, they cannot be compared to more serious consumption holidays.
The bottom line is that you have to choose 3 products that can be brought very cheaply with free shipping. They can be collected from a specific list, so the products cannot be chosen freely. In addition, you will also receive site coupons at this time, which can be applied to all products on the entire site. What does a typical AliExpress Choice Day look like? That's pretty much it.
03.15. around - Anniversary Sale
The AliExpress Anniversary Sale is nothing more than a celebration of their own birthday, which is actually a consumption holiday wrapped in a different guise. But don't let that bother you, the main thing is the abundance of promotions. The lowest prices are almost always here, and at 11.11. It has a warm-up section, when you have to fill the basket with all the good things on earth, and when the actual AliExpress Anniversary Sale starts, you can harvest the well-priced products. This year it looked like this it's alis birthday.
11.11. – Singles Day
Singles Day, Singles Day or just plain 11.11, but I have also seen it called Grand Finale on some sites. This is the biggest Chinese consumer holiday of the year, not only on AliExpress, but practically in all Chinese online stores. It easily lasts up to 3 weeks, there is also a serious warm-up part here, which usually starts at the beginning of November and lasts roughly until Black Friday. Almost every year, such occasions are longer, in fact, we go from one to the other as the end of the year approaches.
At this time, almost everything is discounted, you can mix all kinds of AliExpress coupons with coins, the deals are huge, and sometimes the platforms even give automatic discounts. In such cases - and on almost all major occasions - we also run a separate coupon request post at In our Facebook groupto help you with your shopping.
Some Friday in November - Black Friday
I don't think anyone needs to be introduced to Black Friday, which originated in America and is called the Friday after Thanksgiving, which is the fourth Thursday of the month in the USA. So it's not basically a Chinese holiday, but of course, wherever you can have a sale, the Chinese take it over. Practically, it was the beginning of Christmas shopping, but nowadays this interval has been stretched out so much that it often lasts for weeks in our country. Of course, it is also held on the AliExpress platform and usually coincides with Cyber Monday.
Some Monday in November - Cyber Monday
The last big consumer holiday of the year, which is due right after Black Friday, and is primarily a consumer holiday for technological things. Of course, today everything is technology, so it would be difficult to say that this is an extremely specific occasion. Typically, household appliances, speakers, earphones, robot vacuum cleaners, phones, tablets, laptops and similar gadgets are severely discounted, especially in terms of price. Roughly ez is the last period when your EU warehouse orders will definitely arrive before Christmas.
It was also originally an American holiday, when it was invented in 2005, it fell on the first Monday after Thanksgiving - i.e. after Black Friday. You will probably find this on AliExpress as well.
AliExpress tips and tricks
Below are some non-trivial tricks that we have experienced over the years. They don't always work, but they're worth a try. With these methods, we already got some free shoes, a HUF 6000 Beko drill, and we could list other good purchases. With a little creativity and work, you can become a real black belt AliExpress user, which in many cases can even beat Temu's prices.
Discount for new AliExpress registration
New registrants on the AliExpress platform receive an extra discount. And you can register a new Google account for free at any time, if you understand what we mean.
Be alert, be there on time
Big discounts can be had during AliExpress shopping holidays. The date of these can usually be known in advance for a given month, they are slightly different every year. What they have in common is that they all have a warm-up period, usually 1-2 weeks. In this case, you have to put everything in the cart, otherwise you won't get AliExpress coins for it.
It is also important that there is always a time on a given day when the AliExpress festival starts, when the maximum number of coupons are available, and then they run out during the day. In other words, you should think about what you need before the consumer holiday and pay for things quickly so that all the discounts are still available.
AliExpress coin farm
The coin farm method consists of nothing more than intensive pressing of the AliExpress application and filling the basket with items. By the way, it works best if you log into the app regularly and often. However, you should know that even if you have a lot of coins, the AliExpress system does not allow you to use an infinite amount for one order.
Put the item in the basket in time, then delete it
One of the variants of the coin farm is that you get coins for adding to the basket. In such cases, we usually put everything in the basket, including what we don't need, because that's what AliExpress coin is for. Then, when the consumption holiday starts, they can be deleted or simply left inside. It works smoothly to test a product from several stores, so you can see at the same time which product's price is cheaper by using an AliExpress coin or coupon, or including the shipping fee.
Save money with an image-based search
On AliExpress, you can search for a product based on an image. This was primarily invented so that if you took a picture of something, the system would list similar products. However, nothing prevents you from searching based on a screenshot. Save an AliExpress product that you want to buy, then search for the cheapest one. This is in a clear place in the application, but you can only access it from the browser by pressing the search button (a small magnifying glass at the end of the search box), then clicking on the icon next to the search button on the next page and uploading the image you want to search for.
Source: AliExpress screenshot
It has limitations because this method,
- it does not filter out the problem of high delivery costs (when part of the price of the product is included in the delivery costs by the seller)
- fake, but very similar products.

Price reduction or price increase
Countless coupons work by giving a certain amount of discount for a given basket value. For example, one of the best coupons is the 100/10, which means you get $100 off when you spend $10.
AliExpress's system works by automatically adding coins and collected store coupons to the discounts, but you have to manually insert site-wide coupons into the appropriate field, for example. Take advantage of this rule as follows:
- If the price of a product does not match the right amount, find a slightly more expensive one and put the coupon on it. For example, it doesn't work for a 99 USD, but it does for a 101 USD, from which you get 91 USD after deducting the AliExpress coupon discount.
- If the price of a product is higher than the minimum coupon price, look for a cheaper one, but one for which the coupon is good. For example, a $110 product and a $101 product will have the same coupon, but the difference will be $9.
Out with AliExpress Coins
It is a variant of the former price reduction/price increase and uses the above coin/coupon operating rule. If the coins would bring the price of the product just below the threshold price with the coupon, it is worth taking the coins out of the AliExpress basket, if the coupon gives a bigger discount. Example with the 100/10 coupon:
- the price of the product is 101 USD
- the price of the product with AliExpress coin is 99,5 USD (the coupon does not work)
- after knocking out the coins, the price jumps to 101 USD, from which the coupon comes off: the total amount will be 91 USD
The above can be freely varied with store, site-wide, and all kinds of other coupons.
Double or buy more
There is a quantity discount for many products starting from 2 pieces. You can find some products in pairs on AliExpress, such as TWS-capable Bluetooth speakers. In this case, the unit price is cheaper, and if there is another person in your circle of acquaintances who needs one, then you will already come out cheaper. Some products are sold in packages of 5/10/30/60 pieces, typically these are accessories, such as squash/tennis grips, for which you can get very large quantity discounts. Another such category is clothes, for example, if you need a white t-shirt with a print on it for a bachelor party, it's worth looking around on AliExpress.
Always check the reviews
The evaluations, called reviews in English, provide countless additional information. Most of them are not fake, in fact, the shops compete for positive reviews, they can put down amazing pleas so that they don't get, say, 1 or 2 stars from you, but people often give them a hard time anyway. Picture reviews are the most useful, which often reveal if the product is of poor quality. According to our experience, the reviews give a pretty good approximation of what you will get in reality. The better principle is worth following, there are always plenty of reviews in popular stores.
Train the AliExpress algorithm
Basically, AliExpress offers you products that have been searched for a lot on the site. The more you look at these, the greater the chance that the site will throw in a coin discount or the product will be included in the choice section. In this case, you can cut a few extra dollars off the price.
"Did not arrive on time" complaint (AliExpress dispute)
"A promise is a beautiful word, if it is kept, it is good", says the saying, which can be used perfectly in the case of late packages. For example, if a package must arrive in 30 days, you can start an AliExpress dispute on the 31st day and get a discount. Important: always start the dispute, because it ticks from the moment you open it, after which you can negotiate a refund with the seller. It has happened to us several times that we received a full refund - a 100% AliExpress refund - for a late product, and then the package still arrived a few weeks later (the German Feucht distributor has a "black hole" that sometimes swallows this and that for a few weeks) . In such cases, it is left up to your conscience how you settle this with the seller, you could go on for quite a long time about the matter, but that's why gray zone.
The baby is fake
As I wrote above, you can also find fakes of branded goods from Western brands on the website. There was a case where we bought such a product, and then at the AliExpress dispute settlement committee - AliExpress refund and return - we went to extremes regarding refunds.
Of course, these products are nowhere near equivalent quality, but sometimes they are surprisingly good, we also had to look at the press material for hours before we could find the differences between the fake and the original, so you can catch good pieces. Of course that too gray zone, is like the case of late packets.
Battery for Makita and tools using Makita standards
Although official Makita stuff is not distributed on the AliExpress platform, the connection standard of Makita batteries is used by others. Because of this, many non-Makita power tools work with Makita batteries and some Makita stuff with non-Makita batteries. Of course, this is a pretty big game, it's worth checking out the review section, it's even better if there are good reviews.
However, you should know that Chinese copy batteries often play with the capacity, i.e. "aftermarket" products do not deliver what is written on them, so in addition to frequent use - understand: this is your profession and you work with it - we would not buy such . However, it is fine for DIY.
